Let us control Maiden of the Mist (Yorick's R)
Seriously, it is just braindead. Let it follow us wherever we go and not run down on lane. Please.

You have to master the AI to play Yorick. If you don't understand how it works, don't play him. Play Annie or Ivern instead if you want someone with a big summon that follows your commands. The Maiden AI works like this:
- If you summoned her in a lane, she will push down the lane unless you begin to fight an enemy champion near her and/or mark someone with E
- If you summon her in the jungle, she will follow you until she begins to attack minions within a lane
- If you begin to fight an enemy champion and the Maiden is relatively nearby, she will move to you (this has happened multiple times for me, but Im not 100% sure on the exact range that she will move to you if you fight an enemy within it)
Ghouls work in a similar way as well except:
- Ghouls only begin to push down a lane and leave you once they have attacked an enemy minion in the lane

Yorick is fantastic, it's just he plays a lot differently than any other champion and requires a different mindset to really enjoy and get behind. Yorick is a brick wall that slowly edges towards the enemy base, and most people would rather be a reckless train that tries to wreck the enemy base in a giant explosion that may or may not work. People like the more fast-paced champions, and Yorick isn't that. People also like to have direct control over everything, and Yorick isn't that either. He manipulates his summons and, if he could directly control them, he would be pretty broken.
I thought she was supposed to be used for splitpushing?....
but why do you think she would be better following you? did something happen in game that made you ask for this or something?
Well if I'm being honest, the only reason why I would want to control her is because she's suppose to be an entity greater than the Ghouls she and 
Yorick creates. She's smarter, more dangerous, and she has her own minions as well. So, if she's supposes to be this plague and darkness that torments Yorick everywhere, why is she basically as smart as the ghouls? Granted she does help Yorick if he's in danger nearby and she's great at splitpushing, but we should command that. I understand what she does from a gameplay perspective. It's just my issue that I rather be it something else. I have the same gripe with 
Warwick, this monster full of rage; has one of the worst base movement speed in the game and is slowed down to a crawl as soon as he's hit! JUST let me be wild and destroy the weak!
Her AI is fine and easy enough to understand once you play with him a few times.
They coded it so that she auto pushes lane if she’s summoned in lane. She’s working as intended.
I like how you can direct her by using your E and she auto targets champs when they engage you. I don't think she needs to be another tibbers.
