Hey guys so I just recently moved to Okinawa, Japan and I made an account on the japanese server. For some reason my ping is 200 which I don't understand at all since I'm so close to the japanese servers... can someone please help me figure this out? I would really appreciate it.
ModWuks1 votesDefinitely odd, but not unheard of. There are several factors that go into your ping metric, and the best way for us to understand what's causing it is a tracert.
Can you run a traceroute to the League of Legends Japan servers? You can find those instructions here: https://support.riotgames.com/hc/ja/articles/201752674-%E3%83%AD%E3%82%B0%E3%83%95%E3%82%A1%E3%82%A4%E3%83%AB%E3%81%AE%E5%8F%96%E5%BE%97%E6%96%B9%E6%B3%95#wq2
Since this is the wrong sub-board, I'll have to close this thread, but I encourage you to continue this conversation on the Ask the Community sub-board.
Thanks!
