Demotion shield

After a long season I finally got to gold V. But after playing a few care free games I now have a demotion shield. I read about how it works but the one thing I could not find out is would I be safe not playing anymore games with the shield active.

I know gold does not decay but am worried that the shield is a condition that I need a win or I will be demoted.

Will I be safe if I stop playing ranked? Or will I need one more win to secure my position.

You will be fine. As far as I know demotion protection only means you can't demote, but I'm pretty sure you'll be safe not playing ranked for the rest of the season. (My reccomendation, as I would do that if I got gold)

Thanks for the help, I was freaking out about this. Good to know I can stop playing ranked and not have to worry about it.
