Should Riot get rid of the Launcher/Client?

tl;dr It'd be a better game if there was no outside client. Also, if this is the wrong board, move it to the correct one?

Wouldn't it be a smoother experience if you logged in, whether through a launcher or perhaps even right into the program... And never had to have your screen flash in front of you every time you wanted to play a game? Multiple times even, considering there are 3 or 4 screens between 'launch' and 'Welcome to Summoner's Rift!' ... Mainly just the transfer from Champ Select to actually playing. Loading... is so Yesterday. Wouldn't preloading be faster for everyone involved? And that's not mentioning all the problems with the loading screen disconnecting people part way without showing their teammates, or worse, never letting them connect to begin with.
