Why are my teammates always at LEAST 100 ELO lower than me?

The title really says it all. I'm currently 1450 ELO (down from 1500+) and I noticed something when I started to fall in rank once I reached Gold 4. All of my teammates are at the very LEAST 100+ ELO lower than me. Now, I am not one for blaming my team solely for my loss. I understand when I make mistakes, I acknowledge them, and I fix them. My only issue is that I cannot seem to get even a somewhat decent streak (2 or 3 games) with teammates who are even close to my ELO.

I feel as though this happened because I stopped playing ranked for a long time and just practiced unranked when I reached Silver 5 from bronze 5, and I got to gold 5 by a rather large winning streak. Now I feel as though I am getting put with low ELO teams because I have a very high MMR and they feel like I will balance the skill. Perhaps I am wrong. Opinions?
