ARAM impressions

Ever since ARAM was released I have played the game mode A LOT. I find it more fun then 5's a lot of the time. The only exception is when the RNG really messes with the team comps. I understand that's the whole idea around the game mode, but I think there should really be SOME parameters in place to help. That way you don't end up with one team having Jinx Ashe Annie Sona Blitzcrank against a team of 5 melee bruisers that can't even get within AA range. And once again, I get there's summoner 32 as a way to help but it usually doesn't because the game ends too fast for a summoner spell to make a difference. I've been sent the Riot Survey emails concerning how I feel about ARAM as a game mode and if I had any ideas to improve it. Every time I suggested some kind of restrictions on how teams are composed and it doesn't seem to have gotten any better. I play this game mode to just have some fun, not really have to think too hard about the game and just kinda pass some time. But more times than not it turns into a joke because of 1-sided teams completely stomping. I know people rage and get upset over losing ranked games, but I don't feel like ARAM should be a game mode that can even create those feelings. It's hard to have fun in a 13 minute game where you can't even do anything without getting completely annihilated. ARAM balancing is probably not even worth Riot's time at this point, but for the few players that really enjoy playing this game mode just as something to pass time with friends like me I think they could at least try something to balance it just a little bit better.

I'v been playing aram since season 2 and almost only aram the last 2 seasons. There is a champion algorithm they are using it's very weak to keep the spirit of the mode. They talked about it at least once that I can remember.

Before the Algorithm there was a high chance of a one-sided game despite skill level. Now excluding skill level 1 sided games are maybe 5-10% CHANCE that honestly not bad. Reroll made a big difference and snowball as well.

Bruiser teams usually win if they finish by mid game by they deal damage and outlast yours. Keep in mind your own team comp. If you have a vayne you should focus on keeping your objectives a live and getting to late game were she shines. A team with all ranged dive them kill them and out last their burst. They mostly willn't have substain so if the rest are half died clean up with the second battle. Annoying Mondo, sion, garen, singed and etc build all tank and you can't peel them away from you? Ignore them they have no damage go around kill their team turn around kill them last. 1 of you might die sure but you just scored a Ace and took a objective.

No tank? everyone get a little hp and just kite the enemy team hit and run soften them up then clean up. Never kill the tanks just keep them low so you can delete them the start of the next team battle. Best way to counter any Ammu. Keep him low he Q's you stun he dies chase and clean up. This is a strategy game guys remember?

I definitely see your point and agree 100%. But the thing is if only 1 or 2 people know those types of strategies and the rest are just playing the champ they got it doesn't really matter how well you play unless you can guarantee a 1v5 every time. Maybe more emphasis on skill level should be implemented or something. As a side note, not sure if it's just my crap luck or what but 5-10% for one-sided games seems awfully generous.
