They deleted the other thread requesting bans to come back guess riot just wants to shove issues under a rug and silence their player base.

Damage wouldn’t be this high if they didn’t silence the tank players voices. Now we can’t even just ban shit like Zoe so we don’t have to play against it or reroll it every game uggg.

Well we can't have a popular thread showing players got and liked what they wanted. Pretty soon players could make an argument about why riot should listen to the players base on other things like lowering damage (gasp).

They won't listen unless they see some monetary gain in making the change. As with Dominion and 3v3, so with ARAM.

I like how they removed the bans which were fine, but they kept those (REMOVED BY MODERATION) "balance changes" and that disgusting "poke reduction system"

What’s sad is those balance changes made it feel like it wasn’t the same champion as SR which made it hard to correlate how much damage vs defense I think I have when trying to fight.

Considering that 90% of the champion pool isn't lucky and only 10% of the champion pool is lucky, but aram exclusive players only own the 10%, then technically it isn't about luck when a player can keep getting the same lucky champion because that is all they own.

The problem isn't that you can't ban then. It's the people who take aram seriously.

You still don't understand that it's not always about getting 'gud'. You can be challenger lvl and still get rolled by a comp. Sure, its random, but I see it more times than not a super team is formed and one side gets rolled in under 10 mins. In those situations it truly doesn't matter how good you are. If you are a leblanc 1 trick and their team is full dive youre screwed even if the rest of your team isn't feeding. This also happens with teams that naturally out-scale as well.

Either balance it or make it truly random, imo. By that I mean eliminate re-rolls, champ swapping and open up the entire champion pool.

I agree rerolls shouldn't exist either(or at least make them harder to have and you can only have one at a time). I'm okay with opening up the entire champion pool but I don't think riot would like that one. Not sure about champion swapping... As long as its not ranked I can have fun while I'm losing too. The only actual time I'm not having fun is when my own team mates flame me.

I totally agree. And if they did all that then yea for sure I'd be against bans. I'm also kind of annoyed at having the free champion pool be part of arams. It seems like its weighed in getting the free champs more often then the champs you own. Also, if the champion pool was wide open then there would be no need for it.

It's not the fact that you are losing something, it's more of the fact that it's not really fun to be poked down for an eternity of a game. You don't always have to lose something to have a reason to have something at least somewhat more balanced. No one is asking for full balance here. It's not all or nothing.

Fam the entire reason for the ban system was because people asked for it, the only ones that asked for it to be removed was the ones that one trick the broken champs in aram and there are quite a few of them. like if theres a full close up all in team comp against a poke comp, Poke comp wins automatically. In Aram if the enemy team has a full poke comp with at least 1 tank then the game is decided in login screen just how it is and its why aram is kinda trashy right now. Ban system made the game 100 times more fun because you can basically make sure a pure poke comp with stuff like ziggs, xerath, morg, soraka, hell even veigar. but no ones gonna have fun playing sit under tower and die simulator, like its just a fact.

I have every champion and hate bans in aram. Aram isn't supposed to be fair. Literally would quit aram if bans were back. I think the unfairness is fun. What's not fun is toxic players bragging about winning the unfair games.

I don't want bans in aram. It ruined the mode for me. You can want it all you want and say its better but its not gonna make me want it. RIOT never listens to anything I want so don't worry You'll get bans in aram. I wont be happy about it but who cares right? My enjoyment of the game doesn't matter.

Bans were the dumbest thing for ARAM. It wasn't random anymore. The fun of aram was in the crazy poke or God/trash tier comps it gave. It wasnt fun to get stomped by a zigs lux brand veigar comp but the next game you could turn around and be playing the same thing into the enemy.

Good riddance to bans. They were entirely unnecessary and I hope they stay gone for good ,

Yeah that sounds totally more random than removing a random sub-set of those champs that as you said yourself appears in the next bloody game again.

The removal of 10 champs (often less mirror bans) can hardly remove all the good poke champs, there were other champs/comps that were getting banned like yi, maokai, pyke, eve (lol why), yasou (how could i nearly forget), brand etc.

Bans from my experience during butchers bridge bans added more variety and less of the same old champs again and again, if riot didn't like bans they should have implemented every champs into the selection pot, something many others have suggested in the past which most would accept as an alternative to bans as it has the same effect.

The main killer for poke champs was the universal "poke barrier" which affected weaker poke the same as strong such as AP kaisai

That is because most players reroll until they get the same op champions. Fuck I get a free reroll every game because I have every champion. I sure as fuck use that reroll and decide between the two champions even if I like what I already have.

No one can blame you for using a reroll if your granted one every game because you have all champs unlocked. You ain't trying to cheat the odds by only having the top 20 or so aram champs on your account, most of the time your probably getting a mid-tier champ to play with but not something like veigir every two games.

Hell your also helping any teammate who rolled reksai (beautiful lady but doesn't do well up north) and doesn't want to be that aftershock bot that knocks-up their one engage champ.

With this patch ARAM bans are now gone from the PBE as well. On my first match without them I faced my permabanned champion. ARAMs were so much more fun without Soraka.
