Simple Idea for Tank Items to Scale Better for Tanks and Not Bruisers

First of all, let me define, for the purposes of this discussion, what a tank item is. It's an item that provides only defensive stats and has a passive that helps with the mitigation of incoming damage. There aren't actually lot of these in game. item 3194 item 3143 item 3075 item 3193 all qualify. Other items, like item 3065 are actually better on bruisers (unless you have a healing enchanter on the team) or item 3083 are pure sustain items. Other items like item 3751 items have offensive passives to them without defensive ones. Items like item 3512 provide defensive stats and scale off defensive stats (hp), but have a utility passive. item 3110 is only disqualified due to having an aura and being unbalanceable with my idea.

That said, the idea is pretty simple. Like how mage items have item passives that scale off ap, the remaining tank items that don't already follow this rule should have their passives converted into a partial base/scaling portion. If item 3143's passive, for example, was 12% reduction to critical strikes, but scaled with bonus armor so it could be stronger than it is now if you invested in more armor items would be great. Thornmail already acts like this, and stoneplate obviously already scales with hp, but the passive that increases your armor/mr based on being surrounded could increase with other armor/mr stats so you can use it to itemize against heavy ad or ap compositions. Similarly adaptive helm would work better on true tanks than bruisers if it had a scaling passive. It would also be nice to see more items in the game that are true tank items. When I started this, I thought I would come up with more than 4, but most of them had offensive components like item 3742(which can crit btw) or item 3025.

Too bad hat isn’t what we want at all so we can reduce overall game damage.

We want better tank items so everyone can pick them up followed by tank needs because they would be op af if we buffed defense.

Maybe have certain tank items give %bonus health from ITEMS only (excluding gargoyle) sorry cho but that would make you op

item 3110 Increased gold cost, gives 10% hp from items. (Prob too high prob too low)

That way tank items stack together less linearly and more exponentially?

Prob a horrible idea , anyone else have any ideas for giving tank builds something else to scale with?
