I personally don't like the new jungle starting item 
. It's useless on junglers who don't use mana like

. All it does is make it take longer to complete your jungle items. I think they should either remove the item all together, or make jungle items that build out of it specifically and jungle items that build out of 
. Having them all build out of the same two items isn't all that helpful.

My idea:
Make one for Ap junglers, one for AD. Then make them interchangeable. And make it so you can only have one, and lower the costs of the jungle items by that much gold.
How about we go back to the jungle system of s5 since it was actually working?
Funniest thing to me is it's the recommended starting item for Zac. a champion who only gets the Tooth passive. I mean I realize the healing on it is probably (haven't actually tested this but since he has little AD early it makes sense) better for him than the lifesteal on Machete but still.
Wrong.
It is not useless on manaless junglers. In fact, far from it.
The Tooth passive is really nice for AoE-based junglers to have, whether they use mana or not. Especially since it was buffed on 5.23 (from 20 to 25 HP steal over 5 seconds).
Zac, for example, loves that thing for his W spam. Shyvana works with both Machete and Talisman. Mundo if he uses W. Rek'Sai with her Q and Unburrow. Even jungle Riven can always have the HP steal active on a the monsters of a camp.
Lee Sin, Shen, Aatrox, Rengar and Tryndamere work well with Machete.
