LP gain / loss
Over the last 20 games I've had normal MMR for my division (D5). Of these games I have played duo with someone in either D5 or D4. Prior to these last 20 games I was at 18 LP. 11 wins and 9 losses later I am at 25 LP only 7 LP higher despite being having 2 wins more than lossesFrom what I have observed I tend to win 16-18 points and lose 17-20. Lets take the lowest number 16, assuming I would win and lose the same amount of 16 points I would now be at 50 lp not 25.
Why am I losing more points than I gain despite having normal MMR (according to OP.GG)?
It's extremely demotivating when I play 2 games win one lose one and I'm 3 LP lower. I instantly log off and go play something else when I see this... I might as well just login, queue and drop for the same effect, ill be 3 LP lower only BONUS I won't have wasted 90 minutes.
I've observed this even prior to these last 20 games. I played 2 games with my friend we both started at 0 LP D5 we won one lost and he was at 3 LP while I was back at 0. In those 2 games everyone was D5.
How is this fair???? [sg-ahri-1]
Either this is intended (at higher elo you will always lose more points than you gain ... ) or it's not. The only possible cause I can think of is the fact that I recently transferred from EUNE to EUW. Before transferring I was D5 on EUNE and we placed in plat 3 on EUW. I then climbed back up.
Why doesn't riot just remove this whole MMR nonsense. I've played a number of multiplayer games with ladder rankings and none have had something as infuriating as this. The easiest way of doing this is have +/- 20 (or some other number) as a base line and then take the difference in average rating of both sides to modify this base value.
