Add a Champion Slider to Rune Pages

Riot's goal for this Season was clarity? Then I have the perfect idea!

Something that has irked me for a really long time now is that - if you enjoy theory crafting - you are either forced to play League of Excel-Sheets or test your ideas in custom-games in which case you have to deal with lots and lots of loading screens.

My solution for this? Add a Champion Slider to the rune pages! Select any Champion and see how his or her stats change with the runes you add. You could even evolve this Idea around the champions skills or passives (i.E. Cassiopeia's bonus ap or Azir's attack speed).

Check out this picture for how this could look! (WindowsPaintSkillzOffTheCharts)

I am currently climbing gold at a decent pace and have never felt the need to use a spreadsheet for this game. Numerical stats just don't mean that much in a vacuum; it's more about feeling how to play the champion, and realizing over time which runes will help you achieve your goals against which opponents.

Not saying your opinion is invalid. On the contrary, I'd love to hear what situations you feel this is necessary for, because it could be that I'm missing a huge part of the experience. If everyone else is playing league of spreadsheet, and I'm not, I feel left out.

Pretty sure someone already programmed something like this and it is somewhere on the interwebs.

EDIT : Just remembered, there's something like this on LeagueCraft. http://leaguecraft.com/champions/

Just click on builder, and everything you want for theorycrafting is there.

There is something on Android called LOL Platform. It does exactly that and can even tell you what your in game stats can be at what ever level you are. It is a bit helpful in trying out new builds.

I like this idea +1, specially to see how much abilities scale.

I absolutely love this idea!! This should totally happen!

I think thats a great idea. If you cant choose a mastery page to add into the equation, than it doesnt help more than taking it into a custom game. To take it even one step further, add items into the mix. Sorry, I like to play devil's advocate Teemo

Why not just remove runes from LoL?

The technology just isn't there yet.

runes don't mean anything, you can run the 2 standard pages (AD/AP + armor + magic res) and do fine in any level of play

sandbox mode WHERE?

ThePauliuxLT4/17/2015, 12:31:27 PM1 votes

This would be completely broken, as you would have to create 200 rune pages, But if you could select the champion, that would make sense

Btw, since whe are waiting for clarity. I could update the wikia script. I was the original creator anyway [here].

If they haven't added the option to click-and-drag rune or mastery pages to reorder them, I'm really not sure if they would bother doing this.

It's a nice idea and I think if you be convenient to have, but I'm not sure if they will bother.

Or another they can add on top of that us fixing your rune page in lobby. Sometimes there are times where I want to add in something cuz I have a few rune pages. Now, I already have around 8-10. It is still good to add in this feature and your suggestion too.

League of Excel-Sheets is actually a more canonical name than League of Legends. Go figure.
