Do well in norms but always feed in ranked? Help!

I'm still a pretty big noob in LOL and I only got to level 30 a couple months ago. Since then, I've been trying to avoid ranked as much as possible, because every time I play, I almost always feed and feel really bad for my teammates. I went 2-8 in placements and got placed in Bronze 2 (which confused me because I had a really hard time playing against other players at this elo). I've only played 1 or 2 games after getting my rank, but both times I've fed (as well as in placements) and just done horrificly awful. What really confuses me is that I almost always do well in normal draft mode. I'm almost always able to carry my team and I have a positive KD at least 75% of the time, even when we lose. I know that I'm really bad at this game, so please don't make fun of me, but give me some tips if you can. I main yasou and ekko mid and play tristana bot as my 2nd choice.

Perhaps that the MMR you were playing in Normal Draft Mode is a bit lower than your ranked, so it's a bit easier for you. And another factor that could be affecting it could be pressure, if you think of Ranked too heavily as "I need to try hard and win" then that might affect it, it's just like a Draft Mode so if you try to chill and think of it as a Normal Draft Mode and still play well, that might work. Going back to my first point, Normal Game MMR and Ranked Game MMR (Matchmaking Rating) could be vastly different, since you hit Level 30 recently, there might still be some other players who did as well, while Ranked could have players there for a while, or new players as well, but, still. I do wish you luck whenever you decide to return to Ranked.

Thanks for the reply :D Your advice actually really helped and after looking at a couple other discussions I decided to get back into ranked with a different attitude. I played three games since then and I've lost all three (;-;), but I had a positive KD in two and led my team in one, but lost because of teammates. I'll keep trying to get better and loosen up my attitude. Thanks for the help :)

70cs in 10min Work on that stutter steeping

Play champions that you have pride in and use them to carry you out of bronze

Have good map awareness (avoid most ganks, Ward or have intuition your about to get ganked)

I feel the harder I try the harder it is to climb

So I take it chill and take my time to climb nothing is impossible if you take the effort to mastery your champion that you main

Just practice your basic mechanics (like Csing and Decision making (when/where to ward (vision is op), when to initiate/disengage, who to focus, reaction time, etc...) and keep playing more to practice, and you'll be on your way to improving. Practice makes perfect! Good Luck!
