Champion Select VU

Hello everyone.

Recently I have been thinking about champion select and when it will get a VU, as we know it is very outdated and doesn't really fit with the modern art style of lol. I have seen many concepts and ideas online and some of them are simply spectacular. An explanation from a rioter that they are discussing this/a plan is in motion would be just fab :D

My favorite design is the attached image :)

What do you guys think? Do you think that champ select needs a VU? ;)

The entire client needs to be re-hauled.It's Sivir ly outdated and buggy as hell

I think that's really pretty. I'd just also want to see people's summoner names so I can see who's typing what in chat.

Yasss. They also need to add things like searching for specific roles and the skins you own( just saw it in the tab you added xD.)

I really find this design to be super disgusting. There's an excessive use of curves and circles icons that cut out a lot of detail on portraits and summoner spell icons. Not to mention that the champion you selected is shown like 3 times through out the design. There are no summoner names. Hecarim isn't greyed out even though he's banned. The champion pool/list is uncomfortably tiny. If you're going to redesign the champ select screen, why not overhaul the entire layout? Be innovative. Add tabs for the 6 roles this game catergorizes it's champions (Tank/Support/Marksman/Assassin/Mage/Fighter).

For the record I voted yes but that seems much too busy... I would rather my champion select be simple and clean so that it doesn't distract the already very easily distracted teammates I am desperately trying to communicate with to get my game started on the right note...

Tought you meant champion icons from the title. Like, if you hover morgana or Dr. Mundo it shows they're old ability icons.

I'm actually really surprised the Rift got a total overhaul, yet we still have the ugly ass champ select we've had for years (now with a background, but still)

This posted VU looks okay, but it feels somewhat out of place. Not that the theme is bad, in fact it fits very well with the visual style that League has nowadays, just that the physical design (the boxes and such) don't quite fit.

Just my opinion, of course. Regardless, this topic makes me wonder how an official VU would look.
