Allow us to vote in the champion select to kick a player out before the game starts

The Mad Titan··15 votes·1,848 views

Here is the thing..All of us here love league.Problem is sometimes we get qued with certain people who begin the game like "mid or feed" , or would pick an adc champ when we already have an adc.there are more examples if you'd like.Games like these are often ended up losing .its horrible because we cant surrender till 20 mins are passed.

Note that this Idea is for Ranked

So I'm pleading here to allow us to ban a troll in the champion select so there is a higher chance in getting rid of trolls in games. Make it like the surrender vote just before the game starts.Hopefully you guys will agree.this will improve the gameplay experience altogether and make league a much more happy place. And the days of feeling suicidalitem 3070 over trolls will be over.

Guys upvote this if you agree. This is just an idea.I understand this has some flows in it. Hopefully riot can see that the basic idea actually will help. Comment here if you have any idea to improve my initial idea. Have a great day Summoners

No one likes trolls, but simply put this will only create more trolls and make games even harder to find.

As great an idea this is, the bad part that comes from it is that anyone would vote to kick someone f they selected a "weak" champion or a "non-meta" champion so they have an "OP" team, which wouldn't be far in ranked especially if a person is good with the underrated and underplayed champions compared to popular ones.

It's a great system in theory, but flawed in that people will use it to their advantage other than getting rid of the trolls and ragers.

Yeah I was worried about that happening too . But trolls are worse . :( may be you can ask them to check your match history to see if you are good with your off meta champ

I don't play ranked often and I don't tend to play the same champions multiple games in a row. How do you suggest I convince someone? Actually, how do you suggest that I pick these champions for the first time at all without getting kicked a ton.

Also, imagine I play my champion and I happen to lose the first couple games with it. That's not uncommon. It's easy to lose 2 games even if you were doing well. But how is that going to impact me? "He's lost twice with Soraka. I'm not giving him a chance to lose again. Kick this fucker". That's how I see this turning out.

My friend plays soraka top and mid .... I always convince others that it ll work out when we are duoing .May be you could try playing with a duo to help you convince others

Placing a requirement on people to play a certain way in order to avoid punishment from the game system is not a solution, it is a problem. A person should be able to enter solo queue as a solo player without facing increased likelihood for punishment as a result.

I'm more worried about duo queue players rallying the rest of the people in the game against a player than I am worried about someone messing with a member of a duo queue. That's a much more significant problem.

There's also another factor: in your current games, they don't have much choice except to just accept what you pick, so they do. Your solution gives them another option. Your solution gives them a way to try to force you to not play what you want. That doesn't exist right now.

The voting idea isn't a bad concept in principle, but you do need to nail a lot of the details down. There is a lot of potential for abuse if this kind of system is done poorly, so the real deciding factor for this kind of system is going to be in the details.

I dont want my idea to be done exactly the way I asked. I posted here to get feedback from you guys as well.So we can improve and develop on it.

If someone picks something SO off-meta that 4 people choose to kick him, he might deserve it.

The Queen Viper3 votes

Nope. People are free to play whatever champ they want to play... even Urgot.

The Mad Titan1 votes

urgot is not a bad pick

If 4 people don't want you to pick a champion then you don't pick that champion for the sake of team morale.

Your poll options are skewed to one side, not allowing for a fair vote. People could main something like Poppy mid but simply because you think it's troll you could effectively remove the possibility of them ever playing their main. Kicking in ranked is stupid as fuck, dodge if you don't wanna play.

The Mad Titan1 votes

Trolling in ranked is stupid as fuck too . lol . No offence to offmeta picks . Im talking about intentional trolls

Joe Dredd3 votes

Trolls are not near as common as you think. Most of the "trolls" you encounter aren't even trolling, they just had bad games. People just think people do bad to spite the but that's not the case.

The Mad Titan1 votes

Well it might be news to you but they are comman in low elo.bad games make people trolls I know. but that doesnt justify trolling

Joe Dredd2 votes

They aren't down there either, I started bronze 2 last season and spent the the entirety of season 3 in silver. I haven't seen an actual troll in at least a year.

The Mad Titan1 votes

not talking about silver ... you dont understand the struggle to get to silver from bronze 5

Joe Dredd2 votes

i started bronze last season.

The Mad Titan1 votes

try starting from b5...B2 is much better compared to b5-b4 range

Joe Dredd1 votes

Instead of blaming it on team mates, you should focus on your own play. In bronze five you should be able to carry a game even if you have a troll.

The Mad Titan1 votes

I do most of the time...I am constantly improving .read my examples im not just blaming anyone

You're talking about intentional trolls but we're not convinced your system actually is only targeting them.

Acceptable collateral damage IMO

Winning a game grants 1 Kick stack. Max 2 stacks. Voting for a kick requires 1 Kick stack. Max 1 Kick stack use per lobby. 4 Kicks must be presented to kick a player. Used kicks will still be consumed if the player is not kicked.

Your IP gain is increased 5% for each Kick stack you hold.

Winning 5 games while holding onto 2 Kicks the whole time will grant an Experimenter badge. As long as The Experimenter badge will double Kick's IP gain. Using a Kick will remove the badge.

DRNG Fox3 votes

I feel like this would be abused and the trolls would just kick good players.

The Mad Titan1 votes

hence the voting mechanic.

It's a controversy that's really difficult to solve. If you allow this the enemy team could counter you in every manner and the team that doesn't like their odds may simply vote to disband the game pretty much. There would be no integrity to the system that would allow for these 'rare cases'.

yukumari2 votes

I agree with your sentiment, although I don't like how your disagree option is the extreme opposite of your proposal. It IS possible to disagree with your idea, but still dislike the trolls. (Even if it was on the joking side, putting that as an option for your poll seems...meh).

The Mad Titan1 votes

I have made an option for I dont think it matters. seems like what you mean.

yukumari2 votes

Oh no no, I agree with this 100%. I think it's a good idea. Just think that making the disagree button sound as bias as it does is...meh.

The Mad Titan1 votes

Sorry about that .I dont think I can add a new option now.It might be too late

The Queen Viper2 votes

oh, this retarded idea again... not gonna happen bro.

You really should learn to use Google instead of just wasting your time.

The Mad Titan2 votes

I d rather not waste my time playing with trolls repeatedly in ranked

The Queen Viper2 votes

Then learn to Dodge.

Your idea would essentially give more power to the trolls and people would spend more time in champion select instead of playing the actual game.

The Mad Titan1 votes

More power to trolls? So you think there are 4 trolls in one team ...Nice. I m talking about a majority vote here. its less likely that trolls get the upperhand here. And like i said,I know how to dodge...I am just tired of doing that.in 2 days I met guys who would start a ranked match when they have to leave to work in 20 mins. And one guy who insisted on not communicating and feeding in the game so he would get in to a lower elo so he can get easy kills.( i got qued with him 2 times in a row. This is bullshit.I go on ...so and so. Before saying learn to dodge, just read my previous comment wiseass

The Mad Titan1 votes

hopefully this is the right place for a thread like this

The Mad Titan1 votes

Even i play non meta champions. And i do win with them. Problem is trolls are a worse case in low ELO's .I do dodge when i can .But I cant keep doing that because thats how often it happens to me.Not many people try to read the chat. Or see which champions are picked. This idea is not about normals. This is for ranked.Communication is the key for everything. And anyone can look up match history to see if your off meta champ is good .Hopefully this clarifies things a bit

The Mad Titan1 votes

This is what my friend suggested me on premade 4s in normals.Seems like a good idea.He is not in NA server

"solution to stalling 4s. You may only vote to kick a player once every 3-5 games. Only the leader of a premade group may vote to kick an individual. You may not initiate a votekick on someone in your premade group"
