Warwick's Ultimate Hitbox [GAMEPLAY]
I've been maining WW for a few months now, this is a huuuuge issue. TBH I don't even know if this is a bug or not but it is really frustrating. So when you ult as WW, the hit box doesn't start directly in front of you, it starts in an area around your champ. This results in WW ulting people behind where he was aiming very often, since the spell more or less becomes a hit-whoever-is-closest-to-you version of itself if someone is in close proximity. I believe this goes against what the new ult was trying to fix, since the update was trying to add a skillshot factor into the ult; the idea would be great if the buggy mechanic wasn't detrimental in team fights so often (i.e. your skillshot not going at all where you aimed it). Imagine playing as ezreal and chasing a low hp enemy ADC, one Q will kill her, but the support is directly behind you. When you q to kill the ADC it doesn't just go back into the closest target, no, obviously it goes where you aimed it like any other skillshot would.. but this isn't the case for WW's ult. I also believe that if this bug were fixed, people would wiff with the ulti a lot more often which is what I figure was originally intended (skillshot implies the possibility to miss, not cast the spell away from where you aimed it entirely). I know for a fact he'd be way more viable in top lane and jungle if this ult bug were fixed. For example, a Jarvan catches me out of position and ults me then proceeds to auto attack me as the rest of his team runs up to join. WW ult is able to jump over walls (pretty far i might add even at low movement speed), but since the Jarvan is standing in melee range it's almost impossible for me to ult away and not hit him since hes right next to me, even if i clearly try to jump in the opposite direction. I don't understand why this is the only spell I've found to be this way.. a Gragas charge stun for example will not hit the target if you're standing right next to each other and you aim in the opposite direction. WW's ult should be the same way; especially since it can be used as an escape.
Another note to add that makes it even worse is that the bigger the character model of the enemy near you, the easier you'll hit them with the ult even if you don't want to since it is entirely hitbox related. This often results in ulting tanks that you weren't aiming for and getting you killed whereas if the champ worked how it should, you could've made a huge play on a priority target. I understand why the champ's kit was changed, his ulti was too point and click, the champ was boring in general. But now it feels like straight up chance when i want to jump into a teamfight, multi-man fear and then ult my priority because rarely does WW's ult land on smaller targets if they are among larger ones. Bottom line, if this bug were fixed the champ would be a good bit more viable in every way.
