So this point comes up every once in a while on a few different sub-boards but as someone who just installed League on his new PC, I'd like to add my voice to the group of people asking for better 4K support in League.
To be clear, I don't expect a significant update on the situation just because I'm bringing it up. Rioters have stated in the past that full 4K support is not a priority as "most players haven't upgraded to 4K displays." Of course they haven't, when their mouse cursors and minimap icons won't scale to an easily playable level. Check out the video if you haven't seen what they look like in those resolutions.
All we can do is continue to bring this up and hope that the time when Riot considers 4K support to be worth the effort comes sooner than later.
Great Garboo You have my vote. We're in 2018 and no 4k support. Dota supported it 3 years ago if i'm not mistaken.
Didn't they just redo the lol client a year or so ago? why didn't they do it then? I read a post from riot saying it was going to be very difficult to fix the scaling. If so, it was poor planning on their part. With as many people that play lol, i bet there are more people that play lol with 4k monitors than half the entire community of Dota! I think it comes down to the riot team's experience/talent vs Valve's. Of course Valve is going to push the boundaries, too bad riot can't.
So far I can fix the cursor size but cannot fix the mini map and names/health bars. With my cursor fix, i have to apply it every game and it tends to crash the post game window. I have to task manager close the client and reopen
