Can Feast Restore Mana Again?

NinjaMonkcy··146 votes·4,834 views

Multiple champs who would take feast over double edged sword want to farm and sustain the lane like Gangplank, Nasus, Malphite, etc. If you are going to nerf the cooldown in the next patch anyway can it restore some mana again please? It would compensate for champs who actually NEEDED mana pots. Even a return of 5-10 mana is reasonable right?

Not sure why feast would need a nerf anyway. . .

Its actually worse then season 5 as is.

Tis a nice day40 votes

old feast: 3hp, 1 mana. No cooldown. new feast: 20 hp. 20 second cooldown.

30 second wave with 6 minions each old feast: recover 18 hp and 6 mana. new feast: recover 20-40 hp (on average 30 hp per 30 seconds).

old feast requires all cs to be taken for highest efficiency. new feast allows some leeway for missed cs.

Lack of mana recovery is certainly a downside for the new feast, but hp recovery is overall higher than the old feast.

Not to mention that the new feast now works for junglers as well as laners.

More like Famine am I right? Hahaaaa right? Hahahaaaaa I haven't played a good game in weeks. ._.

kaltenashes1 votes

too many yasuo's out there?

SettDownShutUp4 votes

Basically? Every game is coming down to 3 questions

"Do you have a Yasuo?" "Do THEY have a Yasuo?" "What is your attitude toward surrendering at 20?"

Edit: Well no, I guess that's not fair.

I love Illaoi, but it's a shame she came out on a patch devoted to ranged, dashing marskmens.

Knoyle1 votes

I'm not saying this to be salty but I am pretty sure Illaoi can out hyper carry Yasuo. I mean in a teamfight her ult is nothing less than a nightmare.

Battlecast Sona2 votes

and then the enemy team disengaged and she was useless. Once people figure out how to play against Illaoi I think she's gonna need some rito love, if you kite her out she basically does nothing (people just try to stand and fight her not realizing that's EXACTLY what Illaoi wants you to do).

disengage out of my dragon pit ult kappa

if your whole team is in dragon pit yall were asking to die

EcchiOtakuTM1 votes

Pretty much.

If your team has Yas, you surrender at 20 because he is 0/10/2.

If the enemy has Yas, you surrender at 20 because he is 10/0/2.

UrPalAl3 votes

Yasuo isn't really that OP anymore, his core items and masteries ere nerfed, leaving him at a reasonably balanced spot. Right now there are FAR more powerful picks than Yauso caugh Brandcaugh, caugh Rammus* caugh, caugh Mundo caugh... And the list goes on.

KaisadiIIa6 votes

The main problem with Yasuo was the crit mastery that basically granted him +15% life steal +20% attack speed from min 10. Now that it's gone he may be a bit strong but not the beast he was last patch.

SettDownShutUp1 votes

More powerful, yes I'd agree with you. But my frustrations are about how the games FEEL. They don't feel good to win right now. They feel even WORSE to lose.

UrPalAl1 votes

Yeah, that's true. It's pre-season though, so give them a bit of time. Hopefully by the start of the season games feel better to play, right now it feels like I'm playing on the PBE and the matches have been sped up.

5 mana would be reasonable and a great buff. Fuck how powerful resourceless champs are right now.

5 mana would be reasonable and a great buff. Fuck how powerful resourceless champs are right now.

if resourceless champions were so powerful right now, all of them wouldnt be stting at 50% or lower win rates (with the exception of Mundo).

Fuck, the epitome of resourcless, Riven, is sitting at a 44% win rate right now.

Even Garen is only slightly over 50%, at 51%.

Battlecast Sona10 votes

Winrates offer basically no meaningful statistical data (since anybody can play the champs and, currently, there are probably a lot of people trying out resourceless champs because they traditionally have stronger laning phases). Having a low winrate doesn't make it any less oppressive to lane against a resourceless champ (unless their name is Kat, her laning phase is pretty garbo). And don't get me started on "energy" champions, where the resource gates them in teamfights but not in laning (at all). Just because resourceless/manaless champs aren't doing super hot winrate wise doesn't mean they can't be totally and completely oppressive to lane against.

Durzaka4 votes

Being oppressive in the laning phase is literally what resourceless champions were made to do. It is their entire purpose.

So, youre argument that they are oppressive to lane against is just you saying you dont like when a champion is a lane bully.

Battlecast Sona8 votes

uhm.

The problem is that Yasuo is a lane bully that scales into a hypercarry. Zed is a lane bully that scales into a huge splitpushing and assassination threat. I'm okay with lane bullies existing, as long as they fall off in the late game - most resourceless champs do not fall off in the late game.

IntakiNine2 votes

Explain how the champion with the worst critical scaling in the game is a hyper carry.

Battlecast Sona8 votes

uhm, explain how the champ who hits 100% crit with two items isn't? So his crits do slightly less damage? Who cares when he literally crits every auto or Q. It's like people that say "oh Nasus falls off" yeah if you don't win the game when he enters teamfights and oneshots the enemy carry/makes them completely irrelevant with farm. If an AP had the same kind of utility and readily available AoE non-ultimate CC that Yasuo has access to it would be broken as fuck, and his damage scales really, really hard. 10% lower crit damage doesn't make him not a carry.

IntakiNine2 votes

A hypercarry is a damage dealing champion that becomes immensely powerful in the late game at full or near full item build.

Yasuo is not a hypercarry; he has a passable early game and a massive mid-game spike. Yasuo is designed around using that mid-game spike to achieve a win before the lategame. The data clearly demonstrates that the longer the game lasts, the less likely Yasuo is to win. This is because Yasuo's damage falls off lategame; every other AD champ will eventually reach 100% crit chance, at which point Yasuo's passive is literally nothing but a reduction to his damage.

KaisadiIIa1 votes

Yasuo has a weak early game and scales into an hypercarry. His passive is bullshit early game but great late game. 50% critical strike = 150% damage. 50*2% critical strike / 0.9 critical damage = 180% damage.

Qchan2 votes

Don't forget that all yasuo's build IE, giving them a total of 230%

KaisadiIIa1 votes

225% iirc. You are correct either way.

Halo2 votes

Well most do dont they? And do you count people whit hp cost abilities?

If u dont then Riven - Falls off (dont give a crap about what u think but riven does fall off lategame)

Rumble - Falls off

Renekton - Falls off

RekSai - Falls of? She is a walking ward so i dunno if she canfall off but damage wise she does.

Shyvana - Scales well in to lategame

Tryndamere - Kinda falls off, kida doesnt, depends on the enemy team.

Yasuo - Fck this guy

Katarina - She is a snowballer, if she doesnt snowball shes fucked.

Garen - Both, he is kiteble and loses some damage but can wreck vs the right team.

Gnar - Doesnt fall off

Rengar - Doesnt fall off but he is a snowballer

Energy

Zed - Falls off

Akali - Cant fall from the bottom, can you?

Kennen - Falls off

LeeSin - Damage falls off (only cause u play tank and its still high as fuck) utility stays. Seriously fuck lee, he may not be op but he aint balanced.

Shen - Dunno much about shens powerspikes etc

Health

Aatrox - Falls off

DrMundo - He scaled in to lategame but, he got allot of hard counters in lane.

Mordekaiser - Falls off

Zac - Doesnt fall off

Vladimir - Doesnt.

The majority falls off, dunno what u are complaining about really and the ones that dont have ez counters.

The current problem isnt that they dont fall off in the lategame, its that the games are often shorter so its harder to get too that lategame.

Keti1 votes

Irelia is not resourceless and does not fall off.

Shyvana is a late game god.

Halo1 votes

Ok right irelia doesnt have any resources but she sure as hell falls of lategame.

Im not sayng that her lategame is bad, its just worse than her early to midgame because shes got quite aht scalings. Most of her power is in her W and thats pretty much what makes her strong early, that thing doesnt scale in to lategame well at all. The only things in her kit that scales with ad is her q and ult. She doesnt really even bring any utility to the team, the only thing shes got is a sometimes stun sometimes slow single target ability.

And editing that about shyvana

Qchan1 votes

Shen utility scales into late game very well, his damage is only good against carries with really bad positioning however.

KaisadiIIa1 votes

But then Anivia and Malzahar are OP because "wow, 54% winrate, that's insane". Winrate seems to matter in this forum only when they need it to.

EcchiOtakuTM1 votes

Well anivia and malz are op due to DFT which is getting nerfed to be no problem. I'm just update riot is doing the cinderhulk/dev sej/ww incident again where they're nerfing the abusers then the abused item again...........

Dengeden1 votes

#Winrates (don't matter apparently)

Clockwork Mouse1 votes

They only matter to show what is in the meta. Are tanks in the higher levels? looks like we are in a tank meta. One exception of this is to see a very high win rate, like over 60%. then you defiantly have a problem.

Dengeden1 votes

There's no such thing as meta (champions) in the solo lanes though.

CubedJustice1 votes

I somewhat disagree, but that's a very interesting comment. Mind expanding on it a bit?

Dengeden1 votes

There aren't any true counterpicks left (partly because assassins lost their early game dominance). It's more about how you play the map. Heck, your secondary summoner spell is completely up to you. Granted playing low wave clear, not very bursty mids is ill-advised. And so is playing (squishy) full damage, low utility top laners buuuuut you can generally play those somewhere else... As long as you cross those criteria of your list, you can go ham though.

That wasn't nearly expansive enough was it? :^)

Came in ready to argue Chogath doesn't need Mana refunds on his R.

RyzeRework2 votes

lol ikr i was like UHHHH

NullDragon2 votes

They buffed the mana of those who needed mana pots. Otherwise, there's the Meditation mastery, which is much better(biscuits and dangerous game are in the same tree) and gives up to 1.5% of your mana every 5 seconds.

That's 1.5 mana per 5 for every 100 mana you have missing, which is fairly significant.

You could also start with Corrupting Potion, which is refillable and quite good.

KaisadiIIa3 votes

You could also start with Corrupting Potion, which is refillable and quite good.

Isn't it a worse crystalline flask?

Squarefighter1 votes

I think the reason they don't want to do that is because it would make manaless champs feel weird about taking it. Right now it definitely feels weird taking biscuits on manaless champs just because the only alternative is extra buff duration

Quietscheball5 votes

It also feels weird taking the AD/AP mastery on some champs that don't need lifesteal/spellvamp

Battlecast Sona2 votes

honestly I take the lifesteal/spellvamp one every champ, unless they are a mage without a single target ability. 2% of Annie's Q when you hit mid/late is pretty considerable, overall (at least compared to like 3 AP at level 18 or whatever)

KaisadiIIa1 votes

I really don't understand the point of a mastery that gives you 3 AP at level 18. I don't know why, when bursting someone for 2000 damage, dealing 4 extra damage is "worth" as much as healing for ~30 HP.

Squarefighter1 votes

Well it doesn't literally give 3 AP at level 18, he just means that the amount it does give is pretty low.

KaisadiIIa1 votes

It gives 3/6/9/12/15 AP at level 18. Still pure trash.

Quietscheball1 votes

look at the scalings of some champs 15 AP gives around 50 extra damage on many mages/AP assassins, not even talking of great hybrid champs like poppy, jax, kayle that gain even more damage from it, but I think both masteries are very bad and they are worse than Tier 1 masteries in my opinion

Squarefighter1 votes

Definitely.
