How to Carry a Game

Hey guys, Bronze II over here working hard to get to silver. I know I have much to learn about league, but just had a couple general questions (yes, some of the questions, such as 1, can be answered w/ "depends on your skill level" but I actually mean them as legit questions).

  1. What champions, if lets say they are 20/something can carry a game w/out help of team?
  2. How do you close a game? Many times we are up like 10 kills and outer towers, but the game just like stalls ( like when landing phase ends what am i supposed to do?)
  3. How do you snowball your lead in ur lane? (Like do i back after kills or go for the tower or roam lanes?)
  4. Team fight in bronze or spit push to win?

thx!

  1. None
  2. Get further ahead with neutral objectives to give yourself an advantage and play to your team's strengths. If the enemy team is good at defending (ex Ziggs Caitlyn) then find other strategies to win yourself objectives, such as map pressure and splitting. The more you're ahead, the earlier you should think about grouping to take as many objectives as you can before your opponents hit their own power spike.
  3. After every kill on your laner, if you can safely and effectively clear their wave so they miss the next minion wave, do it as fast as possible and recall as fast as possible if you aren't roaming, but if you can roam... roam. Roam and get vision around the map. You have no idea how many kills and objectives can come from knowing where everyone is on the map at all times.
  4. Depends on the comp vs their own

  1. probably tryndamere or annie. Malzahar, too, but that's a little harder. Its better to play what you know. What's your best champs this season?

  2. group for objectives. Get all the inners you can. if your teams has 3-5 members, and the enemy has 1-2, consider seiging until the enemy is up. That was you can at least chip away at turrets. You can also consider baron if your jungle is up and theirs isn't, and then seige again. If you have a team of butt heads that keep backing when you have the numbers, consider just splitting to kingdom come (if you have an AP, get the blue elixir, it gives true damage to turrets)

Once you get an inhib, STOP PUSHING THAT LANE. Force them to split their attention between the lane with supers and the lane with the enemy team seiging. If you get an ace or almost ace, consider pushing for the win, or at least getting a nexus or two. You should have supers in base, or on their way. Remember that baron speeds up the minions, so if you have it, use it to bring the minions closer.

  1. If the enemy shows his face kill him. Make sure your river is warded, watch the map, as the other laners will forget to ping mia. Its YOUR fault if you're caught unaware. If the enemy is cowering under turret, shove in, and run to another lane to gank. Pick the lane that's closest to your own turret. You can also take this chance to deep ward the enemy jungle, but only do this if you'll watch the map for it. Otherwise its too much risk for no reward. Your roam doesn't have to result in a kill, if you can force the enemy to back, you can chip at turrets and take a little farm from the laner too. Is it evil? Yes. But you're the carry and you're gonna carry this with or without your team. So you need the gold. (this is bronze, your teammates are bronze, thats the only reason I say this)

  2. Depends on the team comps :D or how the teamfights are playing out. And your champ. If you have udyr/tryn/yi, split please. If you have annie, MF, amumu (aoe cc or damage or both /coughanniecough/) team fight.

#BasicTips Don't be afraid to let yourself be carried. You need CS. Don't bother with chat. Over pinging is better than never pinging (in bronze). Play what you know, not what's OP that you've never even tried.
