So I had an idea that I thought was worth looking into if you are at let's say you have 99 lp and win a game after you do your promos the lp can spill over so if you gain 20 lp if you were to win your promos you would have 19 lp instead of 0 and if you lose the lp will also carry over potentially I feel like this would make it feel a lot better when you are just barely off promos and feel like a win at 99 lp is a waste

LegacyDAP2 votesYeah, I don't know why it was never like this? It literally makes zero sense to win promos and start back at 0 LP. However, when you lose promos you also lose LP. It just doesn't make sense.

Straley1 votesWell really promos should be eliminated and you should just move up and down ranks rather than getting gated in a lower rank because one or two bad games, but still have to play against players you should be the same rank as because your rank doesn't reflect your mmr.
