A rework suggestion for Soraka's binding

imagine this,your adc died and your running away from the enemy jungle like xin or j4 or lee,its fucking impossible to get away from them,like u use your binding and it activates when your already dead so to avoid or at least reduce this kinda shitty non fair situations how about that the closer you cast the binding to yourself the faster it will activate the further from you,you cast it the more it takes to activate. (plz note that the duration and damage and that it will also silence are still the same)
