An idea for better Annie counterplay

Would it be possible to make her ult function like Gragas'? In Patch 6.17, his ult was changed to always have a cast time, even if he tossed it at his own feet.

Maybe Annie could toss her teddy bear over a fixed cast time. (kinda like in the cinematic "A Twist of Fate" https://youtu.be/tEnsqpThaFg?t=205 )

No more instant unavoidable Tibbers without taking too much power from Annie or dramatically altering her mostly decent kit.

(For the record, I haven't played Gragas myself, so idk whether or not that change was well received. Either way, would love feedback on this idea.)

I've seen plenty of dominant midlane Annie's in the the slew of recently played normals, but then again that seems far less frequent than broke-the-game Yasuos, Zeds, Viktor, Ahri... etc

I'm comfortable with Annie as an easy to play, fairly dangerous midlaner that ceases to exist as relevant at the Diamond+ level.

Once upon a time, Annie support was dominante and meta enough to net bans during the LCS. Her kit has received some minor nerfs targeted at her to prevent her from being quite so dominant, but she is by no means an unplayable or irrelevant champion there.

Yeah, definitely true that she's not the most busted thing at the moment. Also didn't realize she's irrelevant that high up (been stuck mostly in Bronze feelsbadman).

If anything, maybe it could be cool thematically, get some new animations.

Annies relevant at all elos. Just a bit harder to play the higher up u climb. I personally hate her kit. Forever holding a stun and zoning the shit out of you if she ever gets a lead.

Make her Q a skillshot, and give her ult a cast time similar to Veigars E.

Annie is pretty balanced already. She is crap whenever her flash isn't up (which is about 2/3 ults). In fact, she's so crap that she might even die before she gets in range (her range is pretty low). The counterplay to Annie's combo is keeping track of her flash timer and not getting 5-man ulted when it's up. There are also plenty of champions with iframes on certain abilities, so you can dodge Annie ult with stuff like Fizz E for example. It might be hard to expect that from low-rated players, but that doesn't make the champion overpowered. Also, the more tanks on the enemy team, the less impact Annie has.
