im trying to figure out whats going on with the lp system, i play duo ranked with my friend and when ever we win he gets 40+lp and im getting around 20-25 lp, hes one rank higher then i am, and we are in the same games? why is it doing this?

BigChinLesbian1 votesThat's rough then. The game might believe that he belongs in a higher ranking, though still gaining 40 points seems a bit high. I am gaining like 30 at gold 1 and I think that's pretty high. I also believe winning streaks improve the amount of LP you get and getting a loss kinda breaks that.
OneMustFall1 votesHis MMR Is likely considerably higher than the Elo he is in so the game is compensating for that. Usually this kind of thing happens when you go on huge winning streaks and stuff like that. If he starts losing a whole bunch of games in a row his LP gain will go down once he starts winning again.
