Complaint about Survey questions 2
I think this post is more about balance than general discussion.
So I just got asked if you are happy the Sion is part of the game. Which Sion? Am I unhappy that old sion is not in the game? I don't have that option. Would I prefer no sion to new sion? Of course not. Are questions like this the way league of legends has been surveying people? The options laid out to make you think are new Sion is Good or you'd rather have no Sion in the game. Survey questions like that are the reason that when minority players who get burnt by there niche champion being overalled, riot can say everyone was for it. Now I like new sion, regardless to how similar or disimilar he is to old sion. But questions this broad and this unspecific can lead to some terrible justification of removing stuff people like into the game.
"well, everybody said they are happy X is in the game, guess we can make Y X too." "Oh you you really liked how Y does that cool thing? Well then why did you and everybody say you are happy with X" "Y complainers are a vocal minority, see people said that they like X and we have no poll saying that people liked Y at all"
It just makes me question if things like the lore being undone, or Trundle becoming Brawndle, or other things were made with this kind of broad logic or Cass's rework which seems to have burned some people. Now I don't think this is the place to disscuss if those things are objectively good or bad, but we should definitely look at this system and how it doesn't fully take in account people's opinions(or gives a false reading of that opinion) and allows for a majority to be seen as liking something very little, while a minority who may be greatly hurt by something has no way of expressing that lose of ultitly beyond "Strongly disagreeing" with something that isn't entirely relevant.
I've added a poll with similar bullshit questions that I could only see as being used to skew statistics.
