Idea for Mastery level 8

Alright, so I've been playing for a good long while, I love the champ, tons of fun, and I hit mastery level 7 about a week ago, and I had an idea, why not have a mastery level 8 implemented. With mastery level 6 you need at least 2 S-'s, and with 7 you need 3 S's. So does that leave the door open for a mastery level 8? Perhaps since you've had the red to purple to blue, this could be green? Perhaps it could be set where you would need 200k mastery points and 3 S+'s or such. Either way, I could see this as another way to make people try harder in games and look forward to being able to spam a Mastery Level Emote that few will be able to flaunt. -LeBranflakes [slayer-jinx-catface]

S+ is too much. It would be nearly impossible for certain champions under the current mastery grading system to ever earn an S+, since the grading system doesn't care about what you did to contribute to the win over how many minions you killed and how good your KDA is. Supports would be the most fucked on that. Hitting a certain mastery point score sounds alright though. I've already shattered 200000 with my main, so I feel like I deserve that rank 8 :P

as RITO said on their post on the web site.. for the future masteries 8-9-10 , you will have to do some "missions" for example if you play vayne , you have to do 20 kills in 3 games .

Maybe something like:

Bulldozer: Knock 5 champions up in one game 3 times.

Hype train: Hit 2 max range ults in one game.

Maybe those are too hard or easy, or maybe too specific.

Everything I've ever heard was more along the lines of they wouldn't do that, to avoid people playing the game in weird ways instead of focusing on winning.

Actually theoretically it is equally easy to get an S+ on all champions since it compares you to how others do on the same champ in the same role. Failing to get S+'s means there are specific areas that you need to improve in compared to others who play the same champion.

Aside from the memes that is why people tend to get S ranks easier on strange roles like Sona Jg. Since you are being compared to a very small group it is more likely to be played by one time players thus lowering the line of what "good" is on that champ and making S ranks "easier" to get.

Playing off meta can get easier ranks so long as you do decently because there is a smaller base of comparison and a good chunk of it is made up by players just trying it for the hell of it.

score is based on the average of what players do on that champion. so CS score is not taken into account as much if you play braum

i got mastery 7 on both braum support and sejuani support so idk it always seemed easier then other roles for me.

trick to good scores is not dying. like don't bother saving that moron.

**warding ** like dump a few wards in base so your team mates will hate you for gettingt that s score regardless of placement.

have a good kill/assist participation. do throw a few skills at enemies so you rack up your assists in the off chance your team is not brain dead and somehow got the kill

and some decent cs for your role. so yea last hit those minions if your adc backs, why wouldn't you? btw LAST HIT, NOT PUSH unless you need to reset the wave.

Well I do have 4 Ahri skins, because I used to main Ahri in season 3, but no. I only have 11k Mastery points on her now :P

lmao, question for not just u but one tricks in general. I love taliyah one of my mains, but how do you not get bored of just playing her? There are so many other champions to try, what makes you only want to play her and no one else, isn't it boring?

Well I spent so much time into the game already. I played almost every champ, except maybe 10 or so, especially the newer ones. Yes, it is a change to play another champ after grinding Taliyah for 100 games straight and it is fun too, but I personally love Taliyah just so much. She is the most champion ever to me and that is why she never becomes boring. Well it rarely happens that I want to play something else, but when playing something else, I notice how something is missing and I want to go back to play Taliyah.

*edit It is similar to love, really. I think you could say I'm in love with Taliyah, even if it sounds stupid.

I understand. Like after playing taliyah when I'm going through the jungle to roam i feel slow without the passive and without my ultimate to rank. Is that kind of what you mean? And there is no reason to play another champ also because she can be played support-mid-top, and even idc (my friend went ad taliyah and he won lane and we won the game lol). idk about jungle taliyah tho lol

I play Taliyah mostly mid, but apc bot too if I don't get mid. I don't like support Taliyah, you can't really hit the enemy with your spells without hitting minions, and I don't like to mess up the farm of my adc. It can work if practiced enough, but I'm not a fan of it. I played jungle Taliyah a few times (only in normal game) I must say, Taliyah is really fast in jungle. Her jungle clear is even faster than some meta junglers, the problem is she has problems ganking early, which might cause the team to fall behind when the enemy meta jungler already ganked 3 times. Her level 6 gank is super strong, because the enemy team never knows when you're ganking as nobody will send an SS. Toplane Taliyah works only against certain champion. It does not work against renekton or the likes. Even if you harass them early, once a renekton hits level 3, he 100-0 you instantly. Champion that get close to Taliyah really fast are her biggest threat.

Taliyah is honestly one of my favorite champions. I have 740k or something mastery on Nautilus, but when I play mid lane I try to play Taliyah. I only need one more S for mastery 7, but I just think she is so fun. It feels SO good to hit a combo, especially if it's on multiple people. And good wall plays are so satisfying. I love her character and her Freljord skin.

I just one day hope for an Avatar/Elemental skin (though I doubt it'd happen). It'd be so wonderful though. I'm dying to see what her first post-release skin will be.

People are speculating Pool Party Taliyah, because there were many people asking for it when taliyah came out. I myself would like to have an Arcade or Nurse skin.

And I'm sitting here with 2mln on Shaco , 200k on Kled , 170k on Teemo and 70k on Jhin . Psycho unites~! But must to admit, as not ADC main, getting S or S+ on Jhin is a pain for me O////O sometimes I think, I will never get 2 more tokens xD Always B when I feed :^), A+ or S- when I have a better game.

I think 7 should be the cap so people are encouraged to go out and learn other champs instead of just farming their mains.

What about the people who already have like 500 mastery score plus, i have people on my friends list who are lv 3 on at least every champion in the game. So honestly i can see mastery lv 9 or 10 being too much right now, but mastery lv 8 is overdue in my opinion. I mean its a mastery not a statistical boost, so i dont see a reason to stop players from climbing it higher

Mastery Points being a criteria for getting a mastery is an idea I dont like, It gets to a point where people would have to play years to get max mastery on like 3 champions. I can see LV 10 being an end all be all mastery with some sort of point system, but not lv 8.
