Sated Devourer with Kayle

As you probably know, sated devourer has received a nerf to ranged champions where it would activate every 4 hits. Does that apply to Kayle with her E?

I see people play kayle the same way you would play a tryndamere since there ults have similar effects, and they are both melee AA champions and they both have enemy slow ability. just have to change up the item build a little from playing tryndamere to kayle to account for acquiring some ap to cause damage with her range AA, and hard since there are attack speed/ap items, they should give ap champs an ap crit damage effect or ap true damage so ap champions can make a come back.
