What did hunter's potion do to you, random riot employee in charge of "balancing"?

Hunter's potion was a great item for junglers who struggle with mana and sustain problems in the early game. There was no abuse with the item and it simply being "underused" is a pathetic reason to remove it from the game. Never seen an item get removed for simply being "underused and underpowered". Strangest laziest change ever. Put it back. That is all. For the record. My primary use was for extra healing mid teamfight(costing only 150 gold in the late game when sold considering all junglers pretty much will start with refillable) and for mana. Not for lazily not kiting camps so get your pretentious "learn to jungle" garbage out of here please.

It's happened before. There was Atma's. The only people who used Atma's pre tank meta were Rammus, sometimes Malphite (as in, I used it on my full tank/armor build) and once every 4/5 million years, that guy who played top Taric.

Then the tank meta happened, and the moment someone other than those 3 started taking Atma's, they hit it.

Noobtrap item It had some uses back when time warp tonic was different but now there very little reason to keep it around

Hunter's Potion was minding its own business letting people who wanted to use it use it. It doesn't turn you into a hyper carry that dominated a game. It wasn't unbalanced, it wasn't broken. So "underpowered and seldom-picked option" qualifies for removal? If it's so "underpowered and seldom-picked" then leave it alone!

Banner was being built on multiple people per game And was disgusting to play against, sightstone was an 800g support Tax, fotm was a byproduct of fixing SS

Only reason I can think of to remove it is rito doesn't want junglers to have too much extended sustain... prolly because they want you to go full damage and ram your face into every enemy champion you find for the obviously "more interesting and entertaining" clown fiesta gameplay... Granted that's not what rito said but I can't help but think they might be being slightly duplicitous... or perhaps there are no black helicopters and they are just being inconsiderate to the people that liked the item for no real reason... :/

Like everyone else is saying, it’s a noobtrap. Aside from that, it’s entirely unnecessary with the amount of sustain within the jungle. If someone needs to sink gold into hunters potion then they are likely conserving health/mana poorly.

Hunter's Potion was not only a noob trap that does little to nothing on anyone but Ornn, but it's also slowing you down and teaching you bad habits.

You see, if you know how to properly kite camps, heck, even decent is enough, you have enough sustain in the jungle to pretty much do with anything, and hell, I do love my usual offmeta junglers. So unless you go full bananas, you're good.

So not being needed unless you're bad is a good reason to remove it, as bad players need to learn to get better, and Hunter's doesn't teach the right things. A guy with Hunter's will not try to learn to kite better because he has the extra sustain, he will not try to learn to conserve his resources because he has the extra sustain, will waste mana and HP when it's not needed.

And once you learn to play in a bad way, it's gonna be hell to learn to play properly. So learning properly from the get go is better.

Removing an item that teaches bad players how be worse at the game should be removed.

And trust me, I speak from my own experience, as I used to love that item when I started LoL and I'm so glad to see it gone.
