Now i know smurfing is a thing and honestly i don't care about it that much...except in ranked. They can IP ban someone so why can't they tell if a diamond player is solo queing ranked silver on the same IP. I get it, your friend wants to play ranked so you help him. But you shouldn't be allowed to solo que.

There is really no reason a player should have multiple accounts. there are no benefits in having multiple accounts. all your champs, runes, skins, everything is one account so there is no incentive to make another account EXCEPT for playing against players of a lower skill level. the only reason someone makes a new account is because their main account gets banned. And if you let yourself get perma banned you don't deserve to play at all.

it's cause high elo players sometimes get placed in silver or low gold when they make a new account

nightblue3 for example (challenger player) got placed in silver 2 a month or so ago when he made a smurf. then quickly climbed to diamond fucking everyone over :D

If a higher elo player wants to rank up a new account they don't really have a choice but to do the placements and rank up from where matchmaking puts them (usually in silver/gold).

You can't IP ban someone for wanting to rank up a new account.
