I got my new asus tuf gaming Fx504 ge-e43661t laptop yesterday and was eager to play the game. I got it from my friend and logged in. Everything was fine .I wanted to try out my new laptop so I decided to go into the practice tool. After the champ select screen, the game did not go into the loading screen. It crashed saying that the d3dx9_39.dll file is missing, try reinstalling the program. I downloaded the game again after uninstalling it, but the error persists. I downloaded the directx files from https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/download/details.aspx?id=35 and ran the setup. Restarted my computer and tried again. But im still unable to play. I also tried downloading the file alone and it is not working either. Please suggest me a solution. I'm running windows 10 in my laptop.

Check which version you installed - could be an old one.

From Start, type dxdiag in the Search box, and then press enter. Tap or click on dxdiag from the results. Check DirectX Version on the first page of the report in the System Information section.

Also don't download individual direct X files as that could cause issues later on. Would be better to do a clean install and restart your computer after.

Check if you have any windows updates that need to be performed on the laptop. Could help the issue (since it's new it's probably up to date but it's always good to check).
