Twisted Treeline 3v3 Ranked MMR and Placement Discussion

I'm a little frustrated at the MMR and placement system. So there is me, Gold 1 in 3s last season, do my placements and start out silver 2. only won about half or maybe 4 games so I can kind of understand that. I also got matched up against people that were around my level or the level of my team according to what my mmr should have been. Last season when I played, I'd constantly get matched up against diamond, plat, challenger players in 3s on the grind even though I was gold. So tell me, how exactly does my friend that was silver last season GET PLAT 5 after his 9-1 record all the while facing no one that ranked anywhere in the high ladder of ranked this season nor last??? This is insanely demoralizing because the 3s ranked MMR system is a complete mess. A lot of the times it's hard to grind because we are so outmatched compared to ranks of the other players. Some serious work needs to be done about the 3v3 MMR for the players that actually spend their time on that map. It often gets left out for any updates or balance changes with SR being in favor. I can understand with it being your main competitive attraction and map but show TT a little love. Atleast limit the MMR to put people against 1 tier higher max. It's insane that I get put up against a Master tier player when I'm in silver when I wouldn't even be able to que with him if I wanted to.
