Why were the trinket upgrade removed?

item 3361item 3362 (And more importantly why are they still icons)

As a support main, it is frustrating to ward an entire area of the map, lose all my ward charges, then my team focuses somewhere else, and I need to back to get more wards. No one buys pinks because they either don't have space or have just enough for their buy (or they just "forget"). Sightstone on a jungler is rarely seen in SoloQ DynamicQ. There are probably more instances I can't think of, but you get the point.

Vision shouldn't be solely the supports job, it should be encouraged for everyone on the team. Sorry for the slight rage, but coming out of games where I put 50% of our wards up and buy every pink ward on the team is very irritating. I honestly can't see why there were removed.

I sometimes get the warding jungle item so that I can get the sweeper instead, it just depends on what I think I need that game. I will at least try to have a pink down 100% of the time and i do use my trinket ward enough that I almost never have any charged up. I do feel like the pink ward trinket should be brought back alongside the current farsight trinket upgrade for yellow trinket, but the green ward upgrade was removed because the yellow trinket was reworked with the season 6 changes into a weaker version of it. Longer cooldown that goes down based on level, but stores 2 charges, just like the upgrade did. The only reason I can think of for why the pink one was removed is because they wanted to make all trinkets ever free and being able to get free pink wards post level 9 is a bit too strong. For me, if I have space and money and I think my pink will either be discovered and taken down or it got discovered and taken down, I'll buy a pink. Maybe have pinks have their own inventory slot, like the trinket does?

Because stealth wards were removed, the vision totem was also removed to avoid players falling into the "noob trap" of having access to only a single pink and zero greens.

On a similar note, the removal of greens means it's only possible to hit the three ward limit with a sight stone, so the ward-per-player limit implemented to keep supports from being the ward bot now hadsno purchase whatsoever. The absence of greens means the support is the only one with access to 3 wards at a time.

They said that a lot of players forgot to upgrade their trinkets...

... so they nerfed them for the players who actually did.
