Placements are broken Riot

Year after year I play this game in hopes of climbing to bigger and better things (elo's)... and year after year I get thoroughly upset with this game. Riot your placements are broken. Why you ask? I was placed this year in silver 5 (exactly the same as last year), and I managed to climb to gold 5 just because I didn't have enough time with school and all so I just said what ever. I played my flex queue placements... placed in gold 2 -.- .

Listen, i am in no way complaining but my average kda, cs, wards, and kill participation on average was higher in my solo/duo queue games than my flex queue and I had the same amount of wins and losses for both yet I placed A WHOLE division and 3 tiers higher (I played solo in my flex queue placements as well). Your placements make no sense. It also makes it impossible to climb because I have to climb a whole other division and then some just to get to where I SHOULD have started.

But you think its better to just keep placing people near their placements last year because there is no way they can improve too much in a year... Well riot that is very stupid to think. I am very annoyed by this riot.

A friend of mine in diamond 4 got placed in gold 3 (that is what he was placed as last year as well but after a ridiculous amount of hours put into this game he managed to climb out of "elo hell"). He did not feed in any of his games, played all of them solo (like last year) and he even got higher average KDA, cs, wards, kill participation etc than my placements in gold 2 for flex queue.

This system is obviously not doing well enough riot. I'm sure there are lots of people in similar situations and we're tired of it
