Hi everyone. I was wondering if it is safe and approved by riot to use lolreplay ? i also want to know from anyone out there who uses it have you had any problems during your games while playing lolreplay in the background ? for example any ping changes such as higher ping or any fps drops ? anything affecting the game that i should be considered about or does the game run as smoothly as normal when lolreplay is in the background ? Also if you guys wanna share with me any other programs that you use to record your games ( i tried fraps but sadly it drops my fps ) or have any additional information i would be so grateful because i would like to record my games and watch them later. Thanks in advance ! :)

I used Lolreplay and it seemed to not always work, and it just feels really low quality, even shady. It is legitimate though, but I don't think Riot officially supports any of the replay programs.

I recommend Baronreplays instead. Much smoother interface, looks better, works all the time as long as you update it. There is no hit to your gaming performance while it runs. They don't save raw video files like FRAPS does, they save replay data (you can rewatch as if in Spectator mode), and those files are very small so you can leave it on and record all your matches without using up your hard drive storage (vs. AI games have no spectator data though, so can't be recorded).

I used to use LoLreplay for quite awhile, four years maybe? The program is legit and safe but it's only ok. Sometimes it doesn't work and watching replays isn't the smoothest, once every few months it'll cause you some trouble trying to load into a game and you'll have to close it. The company behind is had been without their web developer for awhile as well so it isn't looking so good. Shame because it used to be the only good replay system.

Personally I use SkinSpotlight's Replay System, it works fine and hasn't caused me any problems yet. Can find a way to install on youtube.
