Refer a friend ending the BOTTING epidemic???

This doesn't pertain to everyone (especially those that only play ranked), but the BOTTING in the leveling system has gotten pretty bad. This concerns Dominion more than anything, but there are still bots prevalent throughout SR as well. I am wondering if by cancelling the refer-a-friend program, if this will take a good hit on these BOTS, since BOTTERS use the rewards from refer-a-friend to get the extra IP and whatnot. Obviously this isn't as concerning as a change in meta, or crazy update, but its still an issue that i wish RIOT would give more attention to. Any thoughts on what effects cancelling refer-a-friend will have on this?

im sure it will help to some degree. I mean that was one of the reasons why people botted in the first place. But then there is still a market for buying accounts so im sure there will be some bots left for those types, but not as much as we have now since RaF will be leaving soon!
