Azir and his current state.

So i decided to pick up Azir again after a while and i just have to ask, what the hell happaned to him?

None of his abilities do anywhere the damaage they used to, the tower he can place has become incredibly weak (its basicly free gold for the enemy), his mobility seems to kinda reduced and the auto attacking from the soldiers clearly dont do as much damage as they used to anymore.

What happened to warrant the downright gutting and "leaving him on the side of the street to die" treatment?

Riot decided that a champion who dominated the midlane meta in LCS, is too well rounded, and has mains who can get to 70% winrates with ease, is a bit much. He's getting reworked at some point.

So let me get this right, the LCS player can use the champion well and it warrants a massive axing to everything about him, thusly impeading the entire playerbase who like him and play him?

Isnt that a bit extreme? I can probably pull a 90% winrate with malzahar and ive heard nothing about him.
