Make AFKing ranked games more punitive!

Titles says it all. It's completely unfair when one person bails out during a ranked game. I get that sometimes, life happens; however that shouldn't punish the people legitimately trying to climb. A 5 minute penalty is completely pointless. "You afk'ed, now we're going to make you afk for 5 minutes". Has anyone considered the irony of that? As punishment for afking, go use the bathroom, grab a drink, and make a sandwich! Personally, I think a 24 hr ranked ban for first offense, 1 week for second and 2 weeks for subsequent afks would be fitting. Even in the case where its someone's crappy internet/computer's fault, they should know their techonological setbacks before they queue and therefore, they know its a problem. After losing 5 games yesterday due to afks, frankly, I'm sick of this crap being encouraged.

You can't tell me that you can send someone to the moon but you aren't able to tell if someones internet went out or they clicked the "Leave Game" button. There should be a system where they're able to see if their ping spiked or if they simply just left. Pisses me off that this happens more in the summer ( kids, I know.) And yeah, people who do this AREN'T PUNISHED ENOUGH. I was in a game no more than a week ago and was last pick so I was the jungler. I'm an ADC main and said so, but this dude who somehow was plat last season went ADC. He literally AFK'd because our support (Thresh) got relic shield. I kid you not. He left 5 min into the game because Thresh didn't sell the relic shield. He even said so, and I'll make a bet he just got a slap on the wrist for wasting every ones times and making us lose LP.

you will not enjoy this the first time the system incorrectly identifies you as afk or Dc'd, when a storm knocks out your power and you have no control over it...then it happens a 2nd time and youre banned for a whole week for things that are outside your power to control.

If Riot had a way to determine legit abusers from accidental reliably..then yes, cuz F#$% those guys! I had one last night the dumb darius went into a heimerdinger and rage quit because he didnt get a lvl 3 gank from the jungler...he quit at 5 minutes into the match saying "screw this we lose, jungle no gank and i got to go to work now, bye" trust me sir...i feel your pain, there is just no way to make it work the way it needs to.

We have been petitioning for harsher punishments for toxic behavior in ranked queues for years. Unless the Tribunal that Lyte talked about earlier in the year gets implemented anytime soon - you are kind of just wasting your time ranting about it tbh.
