I'm the one who got banned??

I'm sorry but I recently have been reported/banned by someone who was the most toxic person ever... He told me to die. He was just really toxic and was calling me things the whole freaking game. I finally stood of for myself and said something back towards the END of the game. All of a sudden I am the one who was banned despite everything he did. ( He wasn't banned BTW). Can someone fill me in on why this happened? It kind of reminds me of Elementary where some kid is picking on you, then you finally stand up for yourself and the teacher "only saw what you did". SMH

Yea the system is stupid...

I had the same thing happened to me but it was a chat restriction that also reset my honor. I still can't play clash.

How do you know the other person was not banned? Riot will tell you themselves in support tickets that they do not tell you the outcome or punishemnts of reports on other players. At the most they will show you a Instant Feedback Report but that report popup is random and does not pop up everytime someone you reported is punished.

but other than that....when it comes to toxticity in games.....it doesnt matter what a person said or did....if you are toxic back in any way....you can be reported and punished. if you got banned then it means you have had other games before this in which people reported you. OR, whatever you said in this game was bad enough that they just banned you...which they can do and says they can do in their terms of service.

They probably got punished too. The problem is you would have no way of knowing. Riot believes we should not concern ourselves with others when we have made mistakes ourselves which we should be learning from.

Even if they did get banned, you're not absolved of guilt if the other player is found guilty.

If you'd like us to help you understand why you might have been punished, then you should share your chat logs from the reform card you received when you were given your punishment.
