Please tone down Fiora

You can't beat her as a tank, you can't beat her as range, you can't beat her as a mage, and you can't even beat her as a bruiser. She literally has no counterplay. She easily beats out tanks with her ult with little to no consequence. Only champs I've managed to beat her with were skarner and Irelia, barely, with Irelia ended up not being able to do much afterwards late game. Every time I go against her I feel as though I've already lost cause of how much she wins trades and by the time she hits 6 almost no way to 1v1 her which is know is what she is designed to be. With riposte can even go mid lane and stomp on apcarries and not even worry. A low cooldown dash that she can never miss as long as it is in range of the enemy champ also by lvl 13 its a permaslow that you can never get away from which makes it even worse. People say she isn't very good in team fights but that is bullshit. She can easily bypass most champs and go in straight for your carry or even go straight for your tank, even built as a tank she does a good bit of damage to tanks, and literally destroy his health within a second and then her heal comes in helping her team. Her passive happens way too often and even half the time the proc comes up right in front of her almost always will giving her a freebie that she can get just by using her dash within range of the proc and walking away. I know that you can walk away and come back to get the proc to another position but it doesn't matter. Why doesn't it matter, cause she has a slow that will help her to run up to that proc and then the next one will come in soon afterwards with no downtime no cooldown unlike Quinn's passive.

Suggestion would be to put a cooldown on her passive it is too convient for her to be able to have it always come up every second and besides she has an ult which gives her true damage. This will also allow some actual counter play at lvls 1-5.

Another suggestion is to take away her movement speed on her ult. Why does she get both a slowing debuff and movement speed buff it makes no sense.

Fiora is a skill matchup for most champions. Look at how her kit works and you will probably do a lot better. I see way too many top laners blow their cooldowns on her parry and stand still while she chunks them for tons of true damage.

Then don't duel her. that's kinda her thing.

No. Fiora isn't in need to be tuned down. She is fine.

Martensitic11/29/2016, 8:49:22 PM3 votes

You can't beat her as a tank

Why do I win every single lane I play as Nasus vs. Fiora then?

Oh, right...because I know what I am doing.

Play Pantheon.

Have fun with your free kills.

Just make sure to end by 30 minutes.

I'm not a Fiora main BTW all this stuff can be seen by reading her kit in the shop fairly easily and you've had experience fighting her so you know at least ONE of these many strengths.

I am deciding to tell you her weaknesses to help you understand how to beat her

The strengths of Fiora:

Able to 1v1 very well -Has major opportunities for damage -Has a dash -Has a way to counter CC and slow -Has a way to deal a portion of max health as damage returned via health later after all 4 procs are used up -Can build tanky or damage depending on whether she's behind or ahead -Has an auto-attack reset

Weaknesses of Fiora -Opportunities for damage are very telegraphed -Range is fairly short even with the dash -The CC counter lasts very short and doesn't do much damage -The portion of max health damage can be avoided via running and via flashing over walls

  • Can only CC you if you use some CC on her
  • Has very low sustain unless she decides to build item 1055(which is very rare and leaves her useless until first Item or midgame) -Has cooldowns that are all similar in size until mid to lategame(where she builds CDR)

So basically I outline SOME of the toplaners you can play to beat Fiora Play someone with sustain and little CC likeDrMundo because of sustain Jayce thanks to poke Graves thanks to insane tankiness plus damage Irelia because you can out-sustain and out-farm her after building either item 3748 oritem 3074 depending on what you build first Jax beats anyone 1v1 when he gets his first few Items done with Quinn is a top-laner that is ranged and can poke Fiora down easily Gnar can kite Fiora to hell Olaf Out-sustains Fiora and only has 1 CC Sejuani can out-Tank and out-damage Fiora Vladimir Out-sustains Fiora and his CC can't be dealt with easily for Fiora Trundle Out-Sustains and out-Tanks Fiora during trades Tryndamere Can out-damage Fiora in trades as well as out-sustain her Shen Can out-tank and out-damage Fiora

Good luck my friend( you won't need it because now you know Fiora's weaknesses)

Fiora has a handful of things she is good at and a lot of other things she is not.

She's a great duelist, she lanes well against most melee champions who go toplane, she can snowball if ahead, is a decent splitpusher, and she can bodyguard her carries from divers. Those are her pros, trying to challenge her directly in the places she is strong is not the most efficient strategy compared to abusing her weaknesses.

Her cons include weaknesses to ranged poke, contributing nothing in a siege, not being able to provide initiation or disengagement while eating up a spot where your team could be running a tank, having a difficult time getting her ult off in teamfights where the enemy has a lot of movement speed or cc, being a spell reliant melee glass cannon who burns through mana very quickly when committing to any fight or trade longer than a single q, requiring mechanical execution on a consistent basis to perform which adds unreliability to her play pattern (she could easily lose fights she has the kit and stats to win because of minor mechanical mistakes), and being shut down super hard in some very popular lane matchups like pantheon, kennen, and quin.

She has a small handful of situations where she is very strong, and a larger set of situations where she doesn't provide much use unless you choose to go out of your way to fight her on her own terms. So just don't do that and play to your own strengths and you should be fine.

Just play Darius or Jayce. Hell even play Renekton, or ask your jungler to camp you. Jayce shits on her.

Source: LVL 7 Fiora that quite vividly knows her strengths and weaknesses.

I do really well with Fiora when I play her (admittedly, I haven't played her much lately, but I used to play her almost exclusively.. this was of course after her rework, so it's relevant to the conversation).

My success in lane directly related to the amount of mistakes the enemy laner made and how many opportunities they gave me to force a fight. It's simply not a smart idea to try to duel a Fiora if you aren't sure you can outplay her. She is very punishing, that's sort of her thing.

That being said.. if the enemy forces a farm lane, there's really nothing I can do about it besides try to push and roam (unless they're just bad, in which case I can farm them easily). Relying on your lane opponent to be bad isn't an example of the strength of a champion though.

If she gets ahead, she's basically like a Zed just lurking around and deleting people before making a clean escape. If she goes even, she isn't a super threat in team fights so just force them and carry on. If she falls behind, she's so incredibly useless it's not even funny and can really only contribute by trying to split.

I don't think she's in a bad spot. There's certainly other champions that need to be deleted before her (cough yasuo cough).
