How to get out of bronze?

Oriko··1 votes·1,139 views

I think I can be low silver at the very least but every time I get to my promos something goes wrong like afk's or bad plays on my part etc. If someone can maybe look over my stats and tell me what I should be doing to advance that would be great any and all advice is welcomed.

Have a great day :)

You play too many champions for one..

ah, so it is best to just pick my best two or three in case of ban and play those? Got you. Thank you for your suggestion will do :)

I would disagree, dont listen to people saying you play too many champions, thats crap older players say who know all the champions and then decided to stick to a few mains, if you have no idea how some enemy champions work, or a new champion is out, or if you have problems playing vs a specific champion you should actually go and learn that champion, it makes your main pool stronger(know ur enemy), and also knowing a larger pool of champions is always good as every patch there is something utterly broken thats easy to play and climb with, and your limited champ pool might be in unplayable state, you can never know with riot patching and meta shifting, having a larger champion pool is good, dont listen to these kids, they have no idea what they talk about.

Also if you are in bronze just learn something easy like master yi, he can easy 1v5 bronze games, its guaranteed silver.

So I didn't really look over your stuff too indepth so how much this applies will vary but these are some of my general advice and I'm someone who considers myself to be a shitty player but get's ahead through strategy (currently G3 though I only came back to the game this month after a year):

Champion selection:

  • First avoid obviously weak low winrate champions. It's just an easier way to do slightly better
  • For each role you like pick a small number of champions to focus on. If you really want to advance at all cost that try and really zero in on a very tiny number, but otherwise you can still have a larger number played.
  • Then figure out which of these you do best with and focus more on those champions
  • Build custom rune pages not just for each champion but also for potential match-ups. E.g. if it's an easy lane you can drop combat orietned runes for pushing or scaling or other benfits, or vice versa

Gameplay:

  • The name of the game is consistency, you want to develop a very consistent way to play the game that avoids taking overly uncertain actions. E.g. an early tower dive is a very risky idea even if they are at 1% hp. it _could _ work out but it could just as easily give them multiple kills
  • Notably: When you've won a fight take it. Don't keep sticking around hoping to get that last guy or risking a dive, just accept that your team is ahead and go focus on other things like objectives or buying.
  • Figure out your ideal builds and item variations for matches and stick to it
  • Plan team assistance. Never aim to be sitting in lane 100% in the laning phase, look for chances to roam into top or bot or jungle. If you are top consider after buying heading bot to gank then Tping back top to defend your tower etc.
  • You can only control yourself. If your teamates are doing something weird, you can't stop them, but you can adjust accordingly. For example if you're teamates aren't coming in to help then don't go in yourself. So often I've seen people who expect teammates to do something and play_ as if they were_ die because they weren't doing what he wanted, and then you'll get upset at them. But if you knew they aren't going to help then really you're just suicide alone. Conversely if someone is suiciding, then you can adjust by either splitting while they distract, or using them as bait for say a Lux combo.
  • Prioritize objectives, towers/dragon/etc. If you win a fight instead of pursuing people more push a tower or grab a dragon etc.

I tend to play Lux a lot and I would say am pretty good/decent at her. I know she's not a high win rate champ but I hold mid with her which saves my jungler time to focus on weaker lanes. I also roam a lot with her especially topside or jungle to get those guys ahead and stronger for late game.

I also have a timer worked out for baron steal that can take it from the enemy smiter, so most games I end up stealing baron two or three times which gives us an edge.

With that being said, my weak point when I play mid, is my farming is weak. I can't seem to farm really well so I think that is what is hurting my game. I think this stems from that I was mostly a support player since the beginning. However, I gave up on support as it can be frustrating watching your ADC run (flash) into enemy at level one while they have heal up and die and continue to make ridiculous plays. Or refusing to freeze lane so that the jungler can gank for us or just down right being annoying. I go full support so I can't really carry bot lane with my support items.

As support I play Nami or Soraka sometimes Braum.

What is your advice in these situations?

I know it has been a long time since I responded but I wanted you to know that I followed your advice with the exception of low win rate champs and just used Lux all the way but I made it to Gold 4 last night after months and months of tears and blood (paper cuts).

So thank you kind sir/lady your advice was thorough and spot on :)

Play a single role, 1 or 2 viable champions, watch streamers and just play alot. Just about repetition, doing basically the same thing over and over untill you learn more. The only difference between a bronze and silver or gold player is the fact they see things and do things in the game you do not. Just play the same shit over and over untill you do.

#1 Don't listen to these players that play pretty much everyday. #2 Don't Want Streamers or Youtube videos for advice(ONLY for humor) #3 Don't think certain champions are easily likeMasterYi just cause above ^^ said so. #4 it's weird how you are lv163 yet still Bronze? You took back your account from a booster i take it?

  1. I accept all advice and willing to try anything.
  2. I don't find Yi easy for me, so I tend not to play him anyhow.
  3. I watch streamers because you can always learn something from others no matter how small.
  4. I have never shared or will never share this account. I have played many normals, arams, and other game modes which can also level you up. Since I am older than most people and have the advantage of working from home I play a lot of games that is why my level is that high.

With that being said do you have any advice that I may use at this time?

I'm suprised I got placed silver 4 because the meta really fucked things over for the players. As far as ranked goes. I'd say learn every role and play your best champions for said roles. Also pay attention to who you're laning against. They might counter pick you and don't pick into your counter.

Anyway enough of that. This is what my games look like.

Top: Quinn I find her to counter pretty much every top laner. Fiora Garen TahmKench Mid: Veigar Leblanc Lux Anivia Mid is a role that people like to play ad assassins. In cases like that play someone who's very safe like Lux Veigar or Ziggs. Bot ADC: Caitlyn Jinx Quinn Ezreal MissFortune Bot support: Nami Leona Leona if thresh or blitzcrank is picked. Soraka Janna Jungle: LeeSin if you're good at landing skill shots because his early game peel. Warwick.

  1. Ban those that are going to be a pain in your ass. Don't just autoban Yasuo because you hate the champ. Ban champions that are going to cause you trouble like Kayn MasterYi Nocturne Khazix Rengar XinZhao

If you play ranked with friends. Make sure you have voice chat, or else it's just dead weight because your friend might want to do a play and expect you to be on board when it happens.

i'd say find 2 champs in your main 2 roles that you feel really good on and try to find at least 1 in each other role you can at least hold with (in case of fill)

I noticed a lot of lux, i'd say also practice her support not just mid. maybe try morgana as well if you like lux. i noticed nami, i approve of your choice despite it being fishy ;) in this meta. also i noticed you played janna mid... try her support. i also saw you mentioned braum in comments, i'd say practice him a lot! he's good against some of the more popular adcs rn. his e is perfect for when an enemy mf ults!

also make sure you're warding. and when picking your champ look at your team's comp. if they don't have a tank preselected or picked by the time you're up, take a tank(esp if supporting) if there is no ap champ and you're mid, take an ap. you get the idea

I'm indeed one of the oldest players here as well. we should team up LOL

You should know this by now. Look to trade off when enemy skills are on cool-down. I enjoy poking the enemy down as ADC, but the thing that annoys me is my support is acting too aggressive which the trade is meaningless. Pretty much look to punish them for trying to get gold/exp.

Bronze specifically? I can get out just by split pushing super hard every game. Bronzies do not understand macro.
