I dont think Grasp needs any more power and this will favour champs who scale with AP or AD on a resolve keystone, which is weird. Cho with 7000hp could have 112 free ap with this.

"resolve tree"

holy shit, i like this. the health stacking mechanic is so frustrating to work with.

theyre lowering the % damage, make it adaptive and give some additional ad. i liek the fact that i dont have to constanlty auto attack minions anymore before a fight.

hell yea thats awesome.

Yey. Another stupid change giving tanks even more damage. It wasnt enough they were dealing shit ton of damage. Now they will get even more damage than they need the longer they fight. Well done riot. And those jayce nerfs. A joke. Also i dont see pantheon nerfs anywhere. Seriously riot doesnt know what is he doing.

Hello top lane tanks. If this was meant to boost for Juggernauts it's in the wrong direction.

Still gonna give Shen AD

SpecterVonBaren12/6/2017, 12:40:12 AM3 votes

Won't this just encourage melee caries to build tanky but still do crap tons of damage again?

Melledoneus12/6/2017, 1:28:08 AM3 votes

Oh shit.

Shen is going to really go to town with this.

To quickly set expectations - this change is not going to be going live with the 7.24b patch the majority of these changes are planned for. There's already been a pretty big iteration from the one you're seeing on PBE based on a few playtests. Hoping to get something out in 8.1 - but that timeline may change too.

Riot Maple.

I think its a very interesting change, but I'm not too excited for it. It seems a really weird choice to choose to change Grasp over other keystones, especially given that other trees have a lot of redundancy in their keystones that the Resolve tree doesn't, namely Precision with PtA/Tempo and Sorcery with Aery/Comet. I'd much rather have seen one of those keystones changed, especially given that many of the fighters who currently don't have a good keystone would prefer an offensive tree over Resolve.

I'm going to wait until is see how that scales. it could even work on mages like Swain or Morgana who get in the middle..... and build a lot of AP/HP items.

Familiar Faces12/7/2017, 11:03:23 AM2 votes

I don't think it should translate into actual AD or AP but rather into the actual proc damage. The proc damage should scale emphasizing that the longer a tank survives the fray, the more of a threat they slowly become (when in melee range).
