RIOT! Do I have a bone to pick with you! (AFKERS)

So, in this game you can get reported for 10+ things. One of which being AFK. You can get banned for negative attitude and language just like that, without any hesitation. Idk how many times I've had AFK people in my game. Enough to write this. AKA 100+ times easily. With that being said, DO SOMETHING TO PUNISH AFKERS or better yet, NOT PUNISH THE PEOPLE THAT HAD THE AFK PERSON. I'm tired of trying to climb and getting someone who dc's or afk rage quits. It's absurd and beyond belief that nothing has been done to solve such issue.

-Sincerely, A stuck in silver player, with a diamond/platinum MMR.

Do you at least have any ideas to how to solve the problem?

Anyone can point out the problem, but offering a possible solution would be better.

Less LP lost if you have an afker? Loss prevention?

But then what prevents 1 person from just "taking the loss" for the team.

You and a friend duo (they are bronze 5). Every time you are about to lose, your duo partner AFK's. They lose LP (but they are already rock bottom), and you lose less (but you were going to lose anyways).

I've also thought of that. But if it's a reoccuring thing then it should be punishable by suspension or a ban. Also they have chat logs of everything, they could see if that kind of stuff was going on.

  1. What if it was over VoIP (skype, teamspeak etc.). Then your chat log would mean nothing.

  2. How would they detect recurring?

What if they play a bunch of norms? What if they win a few games (most likely they won't lose every game).

Losing less/no lp, is not a *good solution. All you can do is punish the person who has AFK'd (which they already do).

This lowers the amount of rage AFK's. So in this way you know that if someone does AFK, it is more likely due to an internet issue, or something more important then to just spite you.

*by good i mean both fair and easy to implement.

And at the end of the day, if you truly belong in a certain division, you will get there. Not every game will have an AFK (on your side).

Good players are not stuck in ELO hell

You can watch so many streamers climb from unranked to challenger/diamond. They have AFK's (win or lose), but still manage.

How do you know you have a MMR worthy of Diamond/Platinum when you are stuck in Silver?

Aren't MMR rating hidden anyway? At least thats what I read.

Also as long as Riots software is too shitty to be reliable I hope AFKers won't get punished too hard, if the game shits itself then there is nothing I can do about it.

There are websites that tell you that kind of stuff lmao. And trust me, I beat gold and diamond players all the time.

Care to offer a link to those sites?

EDIT:

I did some googling, the only sites I could find that offer something along the lines of what you said only offered approximations of MMR, never the actual true numbers. So all you have is speculation.

So I can only conclude that you are full of shit. Sorry man. Have fun in ELO HELL.

OP either is a liar or a troll http://www.lolking.net/summoner/na/57493202

Lolking states it has 1340 LKs ( i am silver 2 and i am 1387 by comparison) , that is a term for indicating MMR calculated by LolKing. I am not sure about the site affidability, but i guess one is good as others and lolking has a nice reputation.

So, if you ignore this detail the afk matter is still debatable and i agree there should be prevention methods. But remember you are in the division you belong, unless proved the opposite
