A thought for Talon's "E"
I know the nerf was about 2-3 months ago, but I still feel like I need to touch upon it. Don't get me wrong, Talon is still extremely strong, but he's not as faceroll as before. Not that I want him to be super OP again, but after some thought I may have come up to an alternate nerf...
And no, I won't be taking Redmercy's idea of lowering the time it takes to silence. While I think it's a good idea I had something else in mind.
To replace the 99.2(?)% slow with a snare/root. Here's why:
Talon's e was supposed to help him stick to his target, and it did that by silencing them so that they can't use any kind of escape ability, then he can execute their full burst. The nerf made his e slow them by 99.2%, so it's pretty clear that the intended purpose of his e was to.
- Serve as a gap closer
- Prevent them from simply walking away
However they can still flash, they can still use some sort of escape ability at the very beginning of his burst, also shedding light on the fact that his W ALREADY HAS A SLOW.
So, basically, the only thing this would change would be the fact that they can't cast escape abilities. A 99.2% slow is basically a snare, but you can simply flash away. With the snare, you can still cast any abilities in the hopes of poking him to death, and you can still instantly remove a snare with the Cleanse summoner spell or the QSS, which is INCREDIBLY easy to pick up in the early stages of the game.
So basically I believe that Talon's e should replace the slow with a Snare, as it gets rid of that odd 0.8% gap between an immobilization and a slow, and it stills fills what I believe was the intended role of his gap closer in the first place.
Tell me what you think, if enough people agree maybe we can change Talon...maybe I'll forward it to Riot. Doubt it though.
