Will Riot consider showing elemental dragon types in pre-game lobby or in loading screen

With the introduction to elemental dragons bringing a type of RNG to the game, is the discussion of showing all dragon elements still a thought to Riot? Whether it be in champ select, loading screen, in game etc. If brought in game it could be a system of faded elements on the scoreboard that highlight when gotten.

Wait, so you're saying you want to see what dragons will be spawning during that game in champion select?

That kind of takes the 'random' out of RNG, don't you think?

They already show immediately when the game starts then every time the dragon is taken, can't really see the harm in letting us know ahead of time.

"random" should never be a factor in a skill based game anyway.

But you aren't really basing your team composition or strategy around which dragons are going to spawn. You may find that some dragons are a little more important for you to take than others, but ultimately you want to take every dragon, even if only to prevent your opponent from taking it.

And I disagree about "random" not having a place in a skill-based game. Your statement is true when it comes to random results. If you do something the same way during each game, you should get the same result. However, random opportunity is different. By introducing an objective system that grants a different benefit based on the random spawn of the Elemental Dragons, each dragon has a different priority to different team compositions. All dragons however will benefit all team compositions in some way. The random aspect causes you to adapt and adjust your playstyle and priority in order to gain a benefit, or at least prevent your opponent from gaining it. Ultimately, you want to take every dragon, regardless of what kind it is.

I think telling players during champion select which dragons will be spawning during that match will influence champion select too heavily. It could even cause some players to dodge matches simply because of the dragon lineup.

Although i agree that it may cause players to dodge in champ select it may be good for in game, if you can see future dragons you can decide whether its worth to take over another objective say a tower. Also the random aspect to it can cripple you currently if you continually take dragons that you don't want hoping the next once matches to your needs.

You still want to prevent your opponent from taking them as well.

All dragons help secure objectives.

Volcanic: Raw damage stats, increase team fighting power Oceanic: Increases sustain (good for drawn out siege) Mountain: Bonus true damage to structures and epic monsters Cloud: Increases map presence and rotation ability.

There is no dragon you will not want.
