Friends in League, Times are changing

So I've recently moved to America from China (I'm Australian) and have just started playing league again. I've noticed a few things which is really depressing and how this game is evolving from what it once was.

When I first started playing league many years ago, there was so much talking in game. North American and OCE servers both have plenty of smack talking, banter, laughs with a hint of toxic chat which to be honest made this game one of the most enjoyable experiences ever (coming from MW2, this was nice change) but now there's almost none of what league used to be.

There's no talking between anyone, there's no trash talk or any sort of communication. There's no "OMG"s or "played" messages, there's no replies when saying hello. The only real message you see in games anymore is "gg" and we all know that's like asking how someone is going, you don't really care you just do it because it seems polite.

What happened to league..? Where did the chatty, trashy community go..?

Maybe it's just me, maybe coming from a place like Australia to here shows there's major differences in how the regions play and communicate. I can't even find people to play with in this game anymore, Asking for people to party up is met with silence. Saying hello in chat is met with complete disregard and even joking is met with serious messages and anger.

I feel a little let down, I miss how LoL once was.

Please, encourage communication and chatting. I understand that at times this game requires more focus than most but having a little conversation with your team and opponents makes this game much more enjoyable for everyone involved. Make friends with people, talk smack, have a laugh (obviously don't go saying peoples mums are so fat thanos has to click twice).

On a side note, if anyone wants to add an Aussie to their friends list feel free to add me. I've yet to make any pals on NA and the guys I once played with here are no longer online. I will accept and play with anyone, I'm not going to say I'm a god but I do promise laughs and some outstanding fails.
