Is Zed a good champion to master?

Catify··2 votes·7,569 views

I dreamt about playing Zed last night, is he worth mastering? Is he a good carry?

I tried Yasuo today.. but failed miserably. I don't think Yasuo is for me plus he's too popular.

I'm a Syndra main, will changing my main to Zed be hard for me? I'm trying him for the first time ever today. Wish me luck!

Eh, good Zed players can be good. But the amount of dedication it requires to become not-shit at Zed is far more than the amount of dedication it'd take to become good/decent at just about any other midlaner.

It's about the same as any other high skill-cap champ.

Same amount of time it'd take to not be garbage at azir, or yasuo.

Not really. Zed is just bad in general due to repeated nerfs over PTSD/how annoying he was. Azir is garbage for over 99.8% of the global playerbase. Yasuo is actually decent with a bit of experience.

Ive been a long time zed player and honestly, if you can land 2 shurikens, hes not THAT bad. But if you cant, it will feel like zed has been overnerfed. Which is the case

Yasuo isnt a high skill cap champion imo. You just have to play 2-3 games, then realize its actually master yi 2.0 and shit on everybody and look like youve played yasuo for years.

You know, everyone tells me that. but none of them have actually played yasuo for more than 20 games

And none of them have played him to diamond+ even though hes "freelo"

I actually mixed up skill cap and skill floor. But the thing is, youre comparing the time you have to invest to be good at Azir and the time you need to be good at Yasuo. Yasuo has a very low skill floor, and Azir's skill floor is quite high. I have played the same amount of games with both champs, they are at 25k mastery points which is, idk, 50 games? Honestly i could be drunk and play yasuo easily, but i know that i still suck with Azir. I guess you can say that yasuo has a higher skill cap than average, but still, im not ready to say it is a high skill cap.

He never said Yas was freelo? He just was saying that the champ is seems as super hard to play but doesn't really "outplay" people. He just runs at them like master yi (Looks more flashy) but also can get set ups from allies and such. You have to be good with one skill, his windwall which even then is kind of forgiving.

BTW he is the only "Highskill cap" champ that actually goes down in winrate as rankings get higher. Lee, Zed, Vayne, Azir, Ryze, ect, ect all go up by at least 2 or 3 %

I don't play Zed myself, but I have a friend who has told me that it is very much worth it.

Zed is very easy, but isn't fun in my opinion. It's too easy to get kills and he's not really that great in team fights to carry, but he kills their carry pretty easily so he's viable in that sense.

Why? What part don't you agree with?

Contradiction : youre saying that zed is very easy but youre not doing well in team fights. Zed is good in teamfights if you know what to do and when to go in. Clearly you have no idea what youre talking about.

Watch Zedmercy, Redmercy play him, even then tho, Red isn't that good at Zed.

Personally, I wouldn't master Zed, but I don't find him appealing, but I guess I'd take him over playing Syndra.

Just have fun.

Sure, as long as you don't have any self respect at all.

id stick with syndra, zed is frequently banned, even if you DO outplay someone it dones't matter becuase your "ZED".

no one will respect you. even if your fed and carry

if you do good as syndra everyone will love you...
