Riot Nerfs AP items but Viktor Staff Still Ridiculously Strong

Riot has recently decreased the ability power of zhonya and ludens echo from 120 to 100, along with a bunch of other changes in patch 5.13. I just recently played a game against a Viktor and realized that one of his items, one of his staff upgrades , gave him 144 AP and 500 mana when fully upgraded. I believe that this gap between the ap items other champions can purchase and Viktor's staff is too large. Any comments or suggestions on this?

The ap items werent nerfed.

They were changed to balance everything and make stuff like ryalis not useless

there is a reason why its the GLORIUS Evolution, not nerfed evolution

Seems to just make him a bit stronger late game, He very much compares with other high pick mid laners. but The staff which may only be purchased/upgraded by Victor must be part of his balancing and placement/role.

It costs 4k gold AND his passive slot AND requires lvl18 because it gives stats per lvl

you're dumb.

All ap items got buffed.

Zhonya's is cheaper and easier to rush and deathcap gives 5% more ap to end up giving u more than the 20 off zhonyas. Abyssal scepter is and always has been statistically broken for its price.

Deathcap -> buffed Rylais -> buffed Liandries -> buffed Wota-> Buffed (have you seen a vladimir? obviously not cuz him and rumble need to be hotfixed.)

It is strong because it's expensive.

It's strong because Viktor has no choice. It has to be strong. If they forced Viktor to buy a weak item, that's unfair. No matter what Viktor does, no matter what champions you're fighting, no matter what way you want to play your game, you have to have that Hex Core. There's no option. So, that's why it's so good. Also, 144 AP level 18. Not before then. Not like you buy it and insta 144 AP. But now you get why it has to be good because he has to buy it.
