Up vote if you think honor lvl 2 for rewards is too harsh

Its that time of the year again, end of the season. For all of Y'all that were able to make it to gold and get that sick Orianna skin I applaud you. Congratz your hard work and effort really paid off. And then there is the group of players that made it past gold 5, only to find out that they aren't going to get season rewards because they said something toxic and had to suffer the impossible grind back to honor level 2. I am one of those people who got heated in a competition which I'm sure many people have experienced because it is human nature to get heated over something you worked so hard for and had someone ruin it for you. I said win traders in my game and got a chat restriction that made it so my grind all the way up to plat was meaningless. All the hours I spent because pointless and this really sucks. I just feel like this whole you have to be honor level 2 to get rewards is really harsh and unfair for some people. A lot of people don't even have the time to play the games to get their honor back, we have work school and all kinds of other stuff that we have to deal with. I wish I could spend all my hours playing this game and getting better but I really cant. Upvote this post if you agree with the stuff I'm saying and let me know your opinion on the matter.

Not being a dick is absolutely a possible achievement. I'm Honor Level 4 and it took absolutely zero effort because I'm not toxic.

I get what you are saying but i wasn't even trying to be mean i had the same guy in my game 3 times in a row intentionally feed i think its understandable that in one of those games i will get heated.

Given that Honor starts at Honor 2 and the only way to lose it is to violate the rules, I can't say I think this is unfair. Maintaining Honor 2 basically just means not being a jerk to other players, and Riot still gives you time to earn it back if that's something you struggle to do. I can't justify "don't be a jerk" as too stringent a rule, or something that makes getting rewards somehow difficult or unfair.

I got struck with a 25 game chat restriction for the first time ever one month before season ended. There was no hope for me to get rewards after that. It's a shitty feeling that ruins the game for people.

I mean, I get that it doesn't feel great, but it also doesn't feel great for players stuck in a game with someone behaving poorly, so while I am sympathetic I don't see that as Riot's fault or the system's fault. If two people get arrested at different times and sentenced to four months in jail, one may miss Christmas with his family and one may not -- and that doesn't mean the system wasn't fair to both.

im honor 5 an haven't done jack to earn it. you aren't toxic and u get rewarded for it. if you got reset on honor its no one elses fault but your own. I think riot is right in this cause. it promotes good sportsmanship even farther than before. nothing u can do. its not unfair nor unjust. You treat others poorly and it shows up in the end.

It’s a bit hard to get to, however I think the number of penalties that can tick it off are a bit harsh.

im maxed out in honor but im fairly toxic the difference is im not constantly talking shit the whole game. Just say one or two things here or there and boom your a decent human being. Also dont be toxic every single game, you almost have to try and be toxic in order to get punished.

I'm actually a really positive player most 95% of games usually I wont even use the chat because I cant say anything positive. I lost it one time and I got banned for it and I dont think it was justified.

I don't think its "unfair", i just think its harsh.

only reason though is because one bad day can get you a chat restriction. which puts you to HL 0 (i think?) which takes most of the season to get back out of.

and I don't think the hL 2 requirement is wrong, I think the time it takes to show reformation is wrong. SHouldn't be 9 months to get HL 0 to HL2, I'd suggest 3 months per HL. 1 Month per checkpoint. WITH some form of "Continuity bonus" that gives you exponentially more HL progress for each week you play consistently without negative behavior. At the first appearance of negativity on your account, the continuity bonus goes away.

That way players that truly reform see progress quicker back to HL2.

(I am HL 2 and 2/3 on this account) [slayer-jinx-catface]

Think denying people of their ranked rewards they played months for and worked hard for because their attitude towards people losing them games isn't positive, is bullshit. Someone runs it down top-lane in your plat promos and loses you your 3rd round of promos trying to get out of gold, and you're supposed to "stay positive" and "not have a negative attitude". Even if you ask them nicely and are good spirited the first 5 times they purposely run into the fed enemy and then they bitch at you for themselves feeding. You say anything to them and it's considered toxic, cya ranked rewards, gl you have 2 months to get to honor level 2. Even if you get 10-20 4 honor games, still won't get it.
