Bronze player look for champ advice.

I recently came back to league after several months away.

I finished my placements 6 out of 10 and am in B5.

I want to main an decent all rounder champ that I can play in two or three roles. My initial thoughts go towards Ryze and Kayle.

I feel both are strong in the current meta and both are capable of solo carrying a team if you are decent with those mechanics.

What does the community and more specifically Ryze/Kayle mains think on this?

My goal is B5 to G1 this season, if that helps at all.

Kayle main here. Obviously you know who I'm gonna pick.

She got me to Silver in Season 6. Great late game hypercarry for carrying scrubs hard.

Not sure she can get you to Gold though. I had a lot of trouble making her work past Silver 4. Higher Silver players seem to know how to exploit her weaknesses too well and she has quite a few weaknesses.

Ryze might be the overall better champ if you're aiming for really high elo but Kayle is great in Bronze.

Almost any champ you're good with can carry. What's your ranked experience prior? You want to get to Gold 1, where have you been on the climb before?

The best thing you can do is to learn not only 1-2 champions that can be played in multiple roles but to learn more champion for each role. It's called champion pool and it helps you climb easily. You will have more fun playing, your mechanical skills will improve as well as your game knowledge which is the best thing to do in bronze. You can still main a champion but this is overall more helpful and more fun, at least in my honest opinion. Because, still, people with highest mastery poinst/most games on certain champions are still in bronze.

Your goal to get to G1 from B5 is a bit too hard to achieve, but it's not impossible. So this is the best advice I can give you. If you are versatile you will find it easier to play, you will also learn other champions, how to play with or against them. And also, if you get auto filled it will not be so unpleasant. So, I wish you good luck this season!

Kayle needs a ton of items to become a late game hypercarry. If you dont get to that stage then your lanes and game is lost

I used her to get into gold in season 4, but its a different time now with so much more mobility on champs. Kayle is ultra squishy with very little escape and no hard CC.

Bruiser/tanks would have a much better time carrying and hard climbing

If you REALLY want to carry get a champ who isnt reliant on their ult to perform or super low CD ult. With Kayle if your ult is down you have to be fairly passive otherwise you can get bursted quick by many champs with how high damage is now. Ryze is a much better pick and is good in top or mid and not reliable on his ult at all to win.

Darius Jayce Pantheon Graves Katarina are similar to snowball early and hard carry

On a side note, what is a good program for recording games. I would like to be able to critique my gameplay.

I think in the past I used lolreplay, but had issues with it working properly. (That was 3 years ago though)
