Suggestion: Better Matchmaking/Lobby

First, I accidentally entered the EU boards first - Why doesn't NA have a suggestions forum?

On to my actual thought - I figure this has been brought up many times before, but just in case it hasn't: It seems like LOLs matchmaking could be more like Call of Duty/Battlefield - Start filling a lobby until it's full and then go on to champion select instead of something like 9 people accept and 1 declines so matchmaking has to start over.

Also, if someone quits during champion select, don't just exit and start matchmaking over - Just find someone else to fill the gap and proceed. These ideas seem like they would make matchmaking more efficient. If this is a completely moronic idea; Would someone explain to me why matchmaking is the way it is?
