Riot isn't interested in competitive integrity anymore. They've lost touch with that segment and that's clear when you see that they lump all queue configurations into one useless rank. They feel that being even more focused on casuals and hopefully getting more people to play ranked (since ranked players tend to invest more $) is worth more than having a valid ranking system.
Meanwhile, you can trio+ and one trick some cheese strat + comp. to gain ELO quickly if that's fun for you. No one will know whether you got your rank solo or with a group anyway. If you have a few friends with low ELO smurfs, it's especially easy. There are multiple examples on Reddit.
I think as it is now, a DQ ranking is wildly inaccurate and unrepresentative just because there is so much variance with the conditions of how it's achieved. You can't compare two different players with the same ranking and that means the system is fundamentally flawed. The whole ladder is pretty meaningless atm and even pros have echoed this sentiment. It's a big slap in the face for people who actually took this game seriously.
