How to beat Camille

SO, lets just cut to the chase everyone thinks she's broken and busted and everyone just insta bans her because they don't what to deal with her. However, there's a champion...a little yordle... that literally hard counters her engage so badly, Camille will be a half hp before she can even begin doing damage back.

Of course I'm talking about Poppy Poppy . She utterly stops Camille's engage while putting herself in an advantage as soon as Camille tries to engage.

To beat Camille, all a Poppy player has to do is pop W when ever she begins to dash toward a wall. The duration of Poppy's W is more than long enough to force Camille to dash if the Camille doesn't auto dash out of habit anyway andddddddddd Camille's dash naturally brings her right up against a wall making Poppy's E stun a piece of cake to land. Follow that with a Q on the stunned Camille and half her health is gone. Camille doesn't even get to proc her shield either because she hasn't attacked you yet since she's been stunned the whole time. Even the trade back damage from Camille (if she doesn't back off after seeing herself get chunked) is not even close to the damage Poppy does to her which becomes next to zero if you had buckler and picked up the shield (isn't that hard to time). Plus Poppy's W passive helps reduce much of the damage from bursty champs such as Camille often baiting Camille to keep fighting Poppy just to slowly come to the realization that Poppy's too tanky and her health is going to run out before poppy's does.

Thus Camille can't engage at all without getting absolutely destroyed and Poppy just scales into the late game where (in my experience) Camille's damage falls off. Thus Poppy counters Camille. Also Poppy's scaling for late game beats almost all top laners in the game.

P.S. Treating her like Renekton seems to do wonders in managing her burst because its incredibly similar to Renekton's early game where if you lose early, its really easy for them to press the advantage where as if they get behind/on par they become easy to fight/manage in lane. That will help you survive the match up, if you don't have poppy for the hard counter.

Honestly, I think Poppy is still too strong.

Darius also counters her, capitalize on her attempts to engage with her hookshot by pulling her with his E, move out for your Q and w, if she doesn't stop fighting she's more than dead

What do you do when your playing poppy and the Camille builds lifesteal?

You conveniently left out countering Camille jungle, which has a higher winrate than taking her toplane. She actually has no counters when taken in the jungle, and can snowball by ganking a lane that's not top, even if you pick Poppy.

Or you can just tell them the plain facts that Camille is balanced and they need to just learn to play against her.

Probably because poppy beats basically every top laner because her base damages are ridiculously high and she should be nerfed into the dirt.

Camilles best counter: Teemo I played against this champ many times, and its impossible to win, especially in the early game, and he is absolutly the best counter on top against Camille.

Actually Illaoi is a good antidote to counter Camille, Illaoi is a tank by nature and her ult is a killing.
